Ian Clarke had found out through Samuel Wyndham that Nova was being constrained and threatened by Tristan and the Forrester family because of him. So, after discussing it with his father, the two men decided they would rather cut off their own livelihoods entirely than drag Nova down any further!

"Get some rest," Tristan said mildly to Abdul.

Abdul had lived a long time; he immediately guessed the underlying reasons for all of this.

He just couldn't believe it. "The Clarke family is really that ruthless to themselves? Giving up their only way out just like that? Could it be a trap? Are they taking a step back to gain an advantage, using the baby Nova lost to blackmail us for something?"

Tristan's gaze was calm and silent. "I don't know. This is the path they chose. You shouldn't overthink it."

"They definitely will!" Felipa snapped, holding her breath in frustration. "They might just be testing the waters. Come tomorrow, Nova will probably come crawling back, begging us. How could she possibly bear to give up her position as Mrs. Forrester! She's just trying to leverage this position to get more benefits for herself!"

Tristan merely gave Felipa a flat look before saying, "Go rest. I'll stay here and watch over Grandma."

He didn't respond to any further questions.

He was never a man of many words to begin with, only ever bothering to speak more than a couple of sentences to those he truly cared about.

Unable to win him over, Felipa had no choice but to call Yvette Sellers and tell her what happened.

Yvette offered her plenty of sweet reassurance, instantly improving Felipa's mood.

Felipa thought that once this whole ordeal blew over and Belinda recovered, she would finally make Tristan marry Yvette into the family!

Around midnight, Belinda woke up.

Tristan had been dealing with the fallout of the incident by her side all night. The negative public opinion and online backlash had been completely suppressed just an hour after he took charge.

After releasing a few pieces of favorable news, the company's stock had already begun to climb again.

Turning his head sharply, he saw Belinda watching him, a soft smile in her eyes.

"Why didn't you say anything when you woke up, Grandma? Were you secretly trying to see if I was slacking off?" Tristan chuckled.

Belinda's eyes grew damp. "You never slack off. You've been at the helm of the Forrester Group for so many years; if you were the type to slack off, the company wouldn't be where it is today. Tristan... is Nova's baby really gone?"
