Tonight Her Love Ended novel Chapter 204

Inside the CEO's office at the Forrester Group.

Dr. Zimmerman arrived just as Tristan wrapped up a transnational video conference.

As a senior veteran at the Forrester Hospital, she held a certain level of respect in his eyes.

Sean escorted her in, and she didn't waste a second. "A pregnant woman went into premature labor and is suffering from severe hemorrhaging. I need you to donate blood to save her, Mr. Forrester."

Sean was startled, staring at her as if she had lost her mind.

Tristan's gaze rested coldly upon her. "Do you even have any scheduled surgeries at our hospital right now?"

Her heart leaped. She had to keep Nova's identity a secret at all costs, otherwise, all the agonizing effort to hide the pregnancy would have been for nothing.

"I was called in to assist with a delivery at Jeverburg General Hospital. The mother is hemorrhaging and has a rare blood type," she urged, her mind flashing back to Nova bleeding out on the table.

She reached for the photo of the tiny baby, hoping the visual proof might stir some compassion in him.

But before she could pull it out of her bag, his indifferent voice cut her off. "If it's charity funds you need, speak to Sean. Anything under half a million is approved."

Dr. Zimmerman's stomach plummeted.

She knew how absurd her request sounded. It wasn't as if one person's desperate need obligated another to physically sacrifice for them.

It was an undeniable guilt trip.

But Nova was carrying *his* child. She had gone through early labor and was now bleeding to death because of the cyberbullying—because of *him*...

"Mr. Forrester..."

She tried to plead again.

Sean immediately stepped in, guiding her by the arm. "Dr. Zimmerman, considering your standing, I'll bypass the red tape and fast-track the maximum charity donation."

Half a million!

That was a sum most average people couldn't save up in half a lifetime.
