Just then, the door abruptly swung open. Before Yasmin could even process what was happening, a group of police officers surged into the room, surrounding her. "Are you Yasmin Forrester?" one of them demanded.

Nova watched as Yasmin frowned, radiating entitled impatience. She snapped at the officers, "What do you think you're doing?!"

The lead officer's face hardened, asking again, "Are you Yasmin Forrester or not?!"

Yasmin's frown deepened.

Nova spoke up calmly. "Yes, she is Yasmin Forrester. She trespassed into my home, destroyed my personal property, and even attempted to frame me for corporate sabotage at work. The damages exceed a million dollars."

"What did you just say?" Yasmin stared at Nova in utter shock, her brain failing to compute the situation.

After confirming Yasmin's identity with Nova, the officer immediately pulled out handcuffs and clamped them onto Yasmin's wrists. "Ms. Forrester, we received a report from Ms. Clarke yesterday. She provided solid evidence of property damage, as well as proof of massive corporate losses you orchestrated and pinned on her. You're coming with us."

Yasmin looked at Nova in sheer disbelief.

How dare she!

How could she possibly dare?!

Nova had always been a meek little pushover who bent over backward to please her. Whenever Yasmin screwed up at work, she just dumped the mess onto Nova, who always fixed it silently.

Now, not only was Nova refusing to take the fall, but she actually called the cops on her!

This was absolute insanity!

"You little bitch! Do you think you're untouchable just because you're pregnant with my brother's baby?! Let me tell you, that thing in your stomach is going to—"

*Smack!*

Nova didn't hesitate for a second. She delivered a resounding slap straight across Yasmin's perfectly manicured face.

She could tolerate personal attacks and insults against herself, but when it came to her family and her children, she would show zero mercy.

Yasmin stared at Nova in horror, completely unable to comprehend that she had just been struck.

Nova turned to the officers. "I absolutely refuse any form of private settlement. If anyone attempts to settle this matter out of court on my behalf, it means my personal safety is under threat. Thank you, officers."

If this was the only language they respected, Nova figured she should have stopped giving these people the time of day a long time ago.

"Do you honestly think being pregnant gives you a free pass to do whatever you want? Do you expect the entire world to revolve around you?" The man's glacial voice crashed down on her.

He hadn't even informed Abdul about Yasmin's arrest yet. The family banquet was only two days away. If word got out that a Forrester had been hauled off to a police precinct, the resulting gossip and speculation would be disastrous.

Nova didn't answer. She kept her head down and continued eating.

Seeing her blatant disregard, Tristan's face darkened further. "Go to the precinct today and drop the charges. Tell the police you've agreed to a private settlement."

Nova had suffered endlessly at Yasmin's hands.

The only reason Yasmin had even secured the Executive Assistant position was by stealing Nova's hard work and stepping on her neck to climb the ladder.

Within the Forrester Group, Yasmin's status meant she was untouchable. Nova had been forced to endure it all in silence.

But as of today, that endurance was officially over.
