Tonight Her Love Ended novel Chapter 64

She failed to notice that she had left her phone on the table.

Yasmin, who had been hiding in the corner the entire time, stopped recording on her phone and walked over to the table. She immediately saw the messages Belinda had sent to her brother.

They were all about Nova praying for the blessed charm and the monk claiming Nova and her brother were a match made in heaven.

Yasmin snapped a few photos of the chat logs. Then, she messaged Yvette about the contract Belinda had just forced Tristan to sign: *This is so disgusting, Yvette. How can this woman be so repulsive and manipulative? She's using every dirty trick in the book just to force my brother to like her!*

Yvette didn't reply.

Today was her birthday.

...

When Tristan walked into the bedroom, Nova had just stepped out of the bathroom.

Catching him out of the corner of her eye, her hands curled into fists. Pretending not to see him, she walked straight toward the bed to get some sleep.

She had a brutal battle ahead of her tomorrow; she needed to be well-rested.

But just as she pulled back the covers, the man's voice drifted from behind the privacy screen. "You asked Belinda to intervene and handle your divorce?"

Nova pressed her lips together and looked at him, her voice dry. "Yes, I want a divorce as soon as possible. If you have time tomorrow morning, or even at noon, I can go."

The auction wasn't until the evening, so she could definitely make it.

But as the words left her mouth, Tristan's gaze turned glacial. "Forrester Group is withdrawing from your brother's case."

Nova froze. "Why?"

She had already written him an IOU and promised to pay him back.

If Tristan pulled her lawyers now, Ian would undoubtedly lose the case and go to prison.

If her dad found out, the shock would ruin his health.

There was a moment of silence outside before Belinda said, "Don't fight. You'll make me worry about you." Then, her footsteps faded away.

The room fell dead silent. After an indeterminate amount of time, the hostility in Tristan's face seemed to ease slightly.

Seeing Nova still standing rigidly in place, he walked over to the bed, pulled back the covers, and said emotionlessly, "Come here."

Nova's body was still wound tight.

She looked back at him, her voice trembling. "My brother's case..."

Her attempt to negotiate sparked a flash of irritation in his eyes. His gaze landed on her face.

The lighting in the room was dim. She was wearing loose pajamas, her stomach showing a slight bump from the pregnancy.

Looking away, his voice was completely devoid of inflection. "Since you've resigned and have nothing better to do, starting tomorrow, you will copy the word 'behave' three thousand times a day."

"Until you finish, you aren't going anywhere."
