Chapter 150
I gave him a cold look for a moment. He met my eyes with a hopeful expression, almost pleading.
I sighed. “Fine.”
A small smile crossed his face. “Thank you.
“Don’t thank me yet,” I said flatly.
Lucas crossed his arms. “I’ll judge the match,” he said coldly and grudgingly.
I nodded. That was fine with me.
Eric and I moved to the center of the training ground. I rolled my shoulders, trying to loosen the tension.
I knew well enough that even though Eric was a decent fighter, he barely fought. He focused more on business dealings and diplomatic matters.
That was probably why the Crescent Moon Pack needed this alliance with the Blood Moon Pack so badly. They weren’t really known for being fighters.
If I had to guess, Eric’s skill level was probably on the same level with Drew, the omega I had sparred with a month ago.
I prepared myself, arranging into a proper fighting stance. Lucas stood at the side, watching carefully.
Eric did the same, though his form was slightly less polished.
“I’ve waited so long for this,” I said, my voice hard.
Eric chuckled uncertainly. “Is it too late to back out?”
I smirked humourlessly. “Way too late.”
Lucas raised his hand. “Standard rules. No strikes to the throat or eyes. The first to yield or first clean takedown wins.” He looked between us. “Ready?”
I nodded.
Eric swallowed but nodded as well.
“Begin.”
Eric moved first, throwing a small jab. I sidestepped it easily, not even bothering to retaliate yet. I was reading him, watching how he moved.
He was very cautious. His movement was calculated, and defensive.
