Too Late For Regrets, Mr. Billionaire (Brianna Meyers and Brandon Levy) novel Chapter 132

Chapter 132 Feeling Uneasy

Once the show wrapped up, there were still some odds and ends to handle, so the three of them stuck around in Curphis waiting for Brandon to swing by and pick up Kendra.

That afternoon, after wrapping up work, Brianna took Kendra to check out the Gurphis Opera House.

The opera house was grand and majestic, its opulent interiors steeped in art at every corner.

Brianna guided Kendra through the halls, sharing stories about the opera house’s history and culture, and pointing out all the gorgeous sculptures and murals.

Kendra was totally absorbed, letting the artistic atmosphere wash over her as she followed her mother around.

As they walked, Brianna couldn’t shake the feeling that someone was watching them. She glanced up/scanning the crowd but didn’t spot anything suspicious.

Shrugging it off, she took Kendra’s hand and kept exploring.

As they were wandering around, a woman with a bright smile walked up to them. “Hey, Mrs. Levy, long time no see.”

She was wearing tight jeans and a mock-neck sleeveless knit top tucked into her pants, showing off her figure.

Brianna looked at the woman’s delicate features, feeling like she’d seen her somewhere before, but couldn’t quite place her.

Noticing her confusion, the woman reached out her hand. “Don’t you remember me, Mrs. Levy? I’m Allison Moore, Brandon’s classmate.”

“Oh, Ms. Moore,” Brianna said, finally remembering. She smiled and shook Allison’s hand. “It’s been a while.”

“Is this Brandon’s daughter?” Allison crouched down, her smile gentle as she looked at Kendra.

“Yes. Kendra, say hello to Allison,” Brianna prompted her daughter.

“Hello, Allison,” Kendra greeted her confidently.

Allison reached out her hand to Kendra. “Hi, I’m Allison Moore. I’m a good friend of your dad’s.”

Kendra copied the adults and reached out to shake her hand. “Hello, Allison. I’m Kendra Levy.”

Allison gently patted Kendra’s cheek, forced a smile, then stood up and turned to Brianna. “Are you here on vacation? Where’s Brandon?”

Memories from the charity auction popped into Brianna’s head.

She remembered teaming up with Brandon to drive up the bids, and how Brandon had danced with her that night. She felt a bit weird inside.

“Yeah, he won’t be here for a few more days,” Brianna replied.

“Wow, I never would’ve guessed. Time really does fly. Feels like just yesterday Brandon and I were goofing around in class, and now he’s got such an adorable daughter,” Allison mused, a hint of nostalgia in her tone.

This was only their second time meeting, so it was no surprise things felt a bit awkward between the ex-girlfriend and the current wife.

Brianna offered a faint smile and stayed quiet,

“What a coincidence running into you here! How about we grab dinner together tonight?” Allison was full of energy, genuinely excited to see familiar faces in a foreign city.

“Maybe next time. We already have plans with some friends,” Brianna replied with a polite smile.

Not caring about Brandon didn’t mean she wanted to sit around chatting about him with his ex. Allison wasn’t exactly a rival. but she certainly wasn’t a friend either.

Allison didn’t look the slightest bit awkward about being turned down. She was still all smiles, cheerful as ever.

“No problem, let’s do it another time. I’m heading out. Bye!” She flashed Brianna a friendly grin, then turned to Kendra with a soft goodbye. “See you later, Kendra! Catch you next time!”

Brianna and Kendra waved back at her after saying goodbye.

Brianna couldn’t shake the feeling that something was off. ‘How could there be such a coincidence?’

But then she told herself she

Brianna shook off. Just being paranoid. Allison had been living abroad for ages, so running into her in

Gurphis could’ve just been a coincidence.

Brianna shook off the uneasy feeling and took Kendra out of the opera house to meet up with Clair.

The three of them made their way to the Marais district, planning to grab dinner there.

Halfway through dinner, Allison popped up in front of them again.

“Hey, fancy seeing you here again! What are the odds?” Allison said, arm in arm with a man, standing right by their table.

“Yeah, what are the odds,” Brianna replied, her smile not quite reaching her eyes.

‘Isn’t this a bit too much of a coincidence?’ she thought.

She glanced at the man next to Allison, and after a few seconds, she suddenly remembered. He was the guy who’d been with Allison at the charity gala, Seavale’s wealthiest man, Kane Flynn.

“And who’s this?” Allison asked, looking at Clair.

“This is my senior, Clair Salazar, the design director for Dexter Gems,” Brianna introduced. “Clair, this is Allison Moore, Brandon’s friend.”
