Too Late For Regrets, Mr. Billionaire (Brianna Meyers and Brandon Levy) novel Chapter 135

Chapter 135 Brandon in Trouble

After the interview, the family finished dinner and returned to the hotel.

Once Kendra was asleep, Brianna was debating whether to make Brandon her way to blow off steam.

Because of her painful childhood memories, cheating was simply out of the question for her.

For the time being, she wouldn’t get a divorce, treating him as an ATM or a stress-relief tool wasn’t a bad arrangement.

After all, Brandon was easy on the eyes, and his physique was nothing to sneeze at. And in bed, he really knew how to please a woman.

She’d figured a lot out. If giving her all just got her taken for granted, then she might as well be free-spirited and put her ow happiness first.

Just as Brianna was about to approach Brandon, having finally convinced herself to take the initiative, he gave her a cold look and asked, “Why did you say that during the interview this afternoon?”

Brianna froze for a moment, totally baffled by why he was so pissed.

‘Is he worried about upsetting Darcy?’ Brianna wondered. ‘Or maybe he just doesn’t want their private life aired out in front of everyone?’

“What’s got you so worked up?” Brianna raised an eyebrow.

Brandon’s face was grim, impatience clear in his voice. “Let me deal with this, okay?”

“How are you going to handle it?” Brianna asked, her tone flat.

“You know she’s dangerous. Why don’t you just keep your distance from her?” Brandon shot Brianna a reproachful look.

He was starting to realize that Darcy was a poisonous viper.

“I have tried to stay away! But you keep messing with her, and she still won’t let me off the hook, right?” Brianna’s lips curled into a mocking smile.

Brandon was momentarily speechless.

“Instead of avoiding her, I’d rather face her head-on,” Brianna said, standing up and looking down at Brandon. “The grudge between me and her. I’ll settle it myself.”

With that, she turned and headed to Kendra’s room.

As she closed the door, she let out a soft sigh. ‘That really killed the mood.

Brandon just stood there, staring at the closed door, lost in thought A deep sense of frustration washed over him.

More and more things in his life were slipping out of his control, and he realized that when it came to his family, he wasn’t all-powerful.

He felt like he was just unnecessary now, and that cut deep into his pride.

He turned off the lights and lay awake in the darkness for hours. He finally realized what his heart wanted, but it seemed like she just didn’t need him anymore.

‘How do I get back to the days when everything felt right?’ Brandon wondered.

Back when, no matter what time I came home, she’d always be there waiting for me?’

The next day, Brianna was back to her usual self, like nothing had happened the night before.

Brandon studied her expression, already planning to take her and Kendra shopping later to make it up to them for last night.

“Kendra’s about to start school. When are you heading back?” Brianna asked.

“Mom, aren’t you coming with us?” Kendra was getting more and more attached to her mother.

“I’m heading to Swegel this afternoon,” Brianna said.

“You’re going to Swegel?” Brandon asked, his voice rising in surprise.

He knew what her intentions were.

“I’ll go with you,” he offered, not comfortable letting her face danger alone.

“Kendra’s starting school soon. You should take care of that,” Brianna declined his offer.

“Mom, I want to go to Swegel with you,” Kendra said, sticking to her mother like glue.

“Not this time. Mommy’s got things to handle,” Brianna replied, her tone leaving no room for argument.

Brandon’s eyes grew dark. “Did you book your ticket?”

“Yeah,” Brianna nodded.
