Too Late For Regrets, Mr. Billionaire (Brianna Meyers and Brandon Levy) novel Chapter 39

Chapter 39

By the time Brianna got home, it was already late. After giving Kendra a bath, she was drenched in sweat herself. There was no time for her own shower. She had to rush and soothe Kendra to seep

Finally, after what felt like forever, Kendra was asleep, Brianna slipped out of the room, closing the door softly belund ber and let out a long, relieved sigh.

Taking care of a kid is exhausting. I honestly have no idea how I’m supposed to survive this in the future, Brunna the to herself.

When she walked into the master bedroom, she saw Brandon lounging in bed, dressed in dark green velver pajamas wearing rimless glasses, engrossed in a book.

Brianna shot him a look and quietly slipped into the bathroom.

He really has no clue what it takes to run a household or take care of a kid. He’s never had to deal with any of this, so of course he acts like a spoiled prince, Brianna grumbled to herself.

Then she caught herself. Why do I even care about him? I shouldn’t waste my energy being annoyed, she thought

Once she was done in the bathroom, Brianna found Brandon still reading, completely lost in his book.

After finishing her skincare routine, Brianna applied some hand cream and settled herself at the foot of the bed

Brandon kept his eyes glued to the pages, not even bothering to look up.

Hey, I need to talk to you,Brianna said.

Brandon looked up at her, set his book aside, still wearing his glasses, his presence radiating a cold, ascetic aura.

He just stared at her, waiting for her to speak.

I don’t want this baby,Brianna said, her gaze flickering.

Brandon narrowed his eyes, the coldness in his demeanor was enough to freeze her in her tracks.

Why?he asked.

You know,Brianna replied.

I don’t!Brandon shot back.

ī

Brianna looked up, thinking, Does he really have to put me on the spot like this?

The baby isn’t yours,” she finally said.

Brianna felt uneasy and guilty. No matter what, she could never be as shameless as her father, betraying his family

hint of remorse.

Oh?Brandon raised an eyebrow, a wicked smile curling at his lips.

Brianna’s heart sank as she watched him.

She knew this look all too well. Whenever she crossed his boundaries, he became downright sinister and vicious.

canginctively, she swallowed, her neck and face burning red, but she refused to back down. Sooner or later, she’d have to face

ils, no matter what

I’m sorry. I didn’t betray youran purpose,Brianpa said.

Brandon pressed his lips together, letting out a cold, mocking laugh. “Does it even matter if it was intentional or not?

Brianna endured his sarcasm quietly.

Who was the bastard?Brandon’s voice was so cold it could freeze the air.

I don’t know!Brianna’s head hung low, her voice barely above a whisper.

I was drunk. When I woke up the next morning, I was alone in a hotel room,Brianna admitted, unable to look him in the eye. I thought it was just a meaningless fling, but I never imagined

Brandon stayed silent. Despite the heater running, the air in the room felt frozen solid, heavy with tension.

Brianna’s hands and feet were icecold as she waited for Brandon to finally lose his temper.

Maybe if he shouted at her, she’d feel a bit of relief. She’d always despised anyone who betrayed their family, and when it came to marriage, her morals were strict to the point of being rigid.

She was actually hoping Brandon would tear into her, just so she could feel a little less guilty.

So you got pregnant from just that one night? Nothing else happened?Brandon demanded, his tone icy.

Brianna still avoided his gaze, unable to meet his eyes.

Brandon gave a bitter, icy laugh, his anger barely contained.

After a long pause, Brandon spoke with unmistakable dominance.

Clearly, I’ve spoiled you too much! You have zero sense of/selfpreservation. Tomorrow, you’re moving back in with me, no arguments,” Brandon said, his tone leaving no room for negotiation.

Brianna looked up at him, her eyes wide with disbelief.

Seriously? Is he just not hearing me? The baby isn’t even his. How is he not freaking out about that?Brianna thought.

I really think ending the pregnancy is the best option,” Brianna repeated, her heart aching as she said it.

You’re keeping it!Brandon’s anger flared even more, his face darkening with fury.

What?Brianna thought, completely stunned.

But this baby isn’t yours. If I actually go through with thisBrianna couldn’t believe what she was hearing

Even a regular guy wouldn’t want to be made a fool of like this, and in a rich family like his, bloodline is everything. How is he staying so calm?Brianna wondered, baffled.

Is it possible he can’t have kids anymore?Brianna wondered.

Brianna shook her head, forcing herself to dismiss such a crazy idea.

ButBrianna tried again, her voice hesitant.

No buts! You’re the Levy family’s daughterinlaw. Any child you give birth to carries the Levy bloodline Brandon’s tone was absolute, brooking no argument.

Brianna stared at him, completely stunned. After all these years, she realized she still didn’t really know Brandon. Is he seriously willing to play the cuckold just to keep up appearances?

Or maybe he’s just holding a grudge, waiting to get back at me? she wondered.

She studied Brandon, trying to see through him, but his expression was nothing but icy indifference.

Watching her flustered and guilty, Brandon felt a sudden urge to mess with her. His face stayed frosty, but there was a subtle hint of a smile in his eyes.

Brianna’s hesitation was written all over her face. She’d already decided to end the pregnancy, hoping Brandon would explode in anger and make her guilt easier to bear. But instead, he wanted her to keep the baby.

A hint of concern flashed across Brandon’s mind as he caught her uncertainty.

He sat up straighter, his gaze sharp and threatening as he locked eyes with her. If you dare to get rid of that baby behind my back, I’ll make sure the Harper family’s entire business is ruined along with it!

Brianna met his gaze, her eyes burning with disgust and hatred.

She stood up and, with resolute finality, left the master bedroom for the guest room.

Brandon felt a sharp pang in his chest as he watched her leave.

He lay in bed, tossing and turning, unable to sleep for almost the entire night.

She knew Brandon always kept his word. If he wanted to ruin the Harper family’s business, he could do it with just a snap of his fingers.

But she just couldn’t bring herself to keep this baby.

If she couldn’t give the child a complete family, a home with real love, then maybe it was better not to have the baby at all.

Besides, with this child’s special status, who knew what problems might await them in the future?

The next morning, Brianna just wanted to run. She hurriedly booked a Яight to Seavale, desperate to put some distance between herself and all this drama for a few days. She hoped that once she got away, she’d figure out a way to deal with everything.

When Brianna went downstairs, only the nanny was busy in the kitchen. Dawn was just breaking, and everyone else was still asleep.

Mrs. Levy, you’re up so early! Are you hungry?the nanny asked.
