“Honestly, I doubt they’d be willing to give up the baby,” she said, sounding skeptical.

“Why would they? After fighting so hard to get their hands on him, there’s no way they’d just let him slip away now,” Margo snarked, her voice thick with sarcasm.

She just couldn’t resist tossing in another jab.

“If you can’t keep your mouth in check, then just zip it!” Gabrielle shot back, clearly annoyed.

“Oh please, I’m just being a caring sister,” Margo quipped, sarcasm practically dripping from her eyes.

By now, Brianna wasn’t about to stay on the sidelines any longer.

“I doubt they’ll back down that easily. When Blanca had Darcy, she endured twenty years of being looked down on, and she’s not someone you can just get rid of,” Brianna said, matter-of-factly.

Gabrielle’s mood soured the moment Brianna brought up Brandon.

“You’ve got some nerve! How could your own family get tangled up with your husband right under your nose? Aren’t you at least a little to blame for this?” Gabrielle snapped.

“Why don’t you ask him? How many times have we nearly split up because he keeps getting involved with Darcy?” Brianna shot back, not holding anything back.

She was ready to fan the flames and watch the drama unfold.

Gabrielle was stunned for a moment when she heard the word “divorce.”

Her face turned pale as she asked, “When did you two start talking about divorce?”

Of course, Brianna couldn’t admit to wanting a divorce at a time like this.

Just letting Brandon go to Darcy without a fight? That would be way too humiliating.

“It was just an argument, nothing serious. We never really considered getting divorced,” Brianna replied, trying to sound nonchalant.

Brandon glanced at her with a smile in his eyes, clearly amused.

He looked like he was thinking, ‘Figures. Just as I expected.’

Brianna rolled her eyes, thinking, ‘Ugh, so corny!’

Gabrielle was always the type to get things done, never one to beat around the bush.

She fixed Brandon with a stern look, her tone leaving no room for argument.

“Give me a straight answer. When are you going to handle this?” she demanded.

“Within a week,” Brandon replied, his voice steady and unwavering.

“Alright! If Darcy doesn’t get an abortion within a week, then I’ll step in and handle it myself!” Gabrielle snapped, her anger barely contained.

She was visibly furious.

Seeing their mom genuinely angry, Brandon and Margo didn’t dare say another word.

Josefina knew Gabrielle well enough. Now that things were settled, she didn’t bother to say anything more.

Meanwhile, none of the adults inside noticed the small figure standing behind the glass window.

Behind the glass window, a little figure stood, unseen by anyone inside.

When Kendra heard what her grandma said, she didn’t really get what it meant.
