Too Late To Love Me I Already Left With His Twins (Lydia and Dave) novel Chapter 325

Lydia POV

“Because you know me too well.” She chuckled. “But listen. I feel like there’s something missing from our new PR strategy.”

That got my attention.

Anna had been working on expanding the visibility of her business, and from what she’d told me previously, the team had already invested in influencer partnerships and billboard advertisements.

“Okay,” I said. “Tell me what you’re currently doing.”

“We have influencers promoting our products, and we’ve put up billboards in strategic locations. We also post on our social media pages, obviously. Engagement has been decent, and people recognise the brand, but I don’t know. It feels like we’re missing something. Something that makes people connect with us beyond seeing our products on a billboard or watching an influencer talk about them.”

I hummed thoughtfully.

“Hmm. That’s actually a good observation.”

“Thank you, my PR goddess. Please, enlighten me.”

“First of all, I think you need to stop looking at PR as just getting people to see the brand. Visibility is important, but recognition isn’t the same thing as connection. People can recognise your logo and still have no particular reason to choose you over another brand.”

Anna went quiet, listening.

“Your influencers and billboards are doing the job of putting your name out there. But what happens after someone sees the advertisement? What do they know about the brand? What do they associate it with? And why should they care enough to remember it?”

“Exactly!” she exclaimed. “That’s what I’ve been trying to put into words.”

“Then let’s build on what you already have instead of throwing everything out and starting from scratch.”

I reached for my notebook on the bedside table, partly out of habit and partly because I knew Anna would expect me to remember every suggestion I made.

“First, I’d introduce more storytelling into your content. Not just product pictures, promotional captions, and influencers saying how much they love your products. Give people a reason to care about the brand itself. Show them the people behind it, the process, the decisions you make, and the problems you’re trying to solve for your customers.”

“Go on.”

“For instance, you could create a short video series showing how a product goes from an idea to something a customer can actually buy. If there are people working behind the scenes, let them tell their stories. If a particular product was developed because customers kept asking for something specific, explain that. Make people feel like they’re getting to know the brand, not just being sold something.”

“Hmm. I like that.”

“And don’t make everything sound like an advertisement. Some of the best brand content gives people something useful or entertaining even when they’re not ready to buy anything. Depending on your audience, you could have quick tips, behind-the-scenes clips, answers to frequently asked questions, or even a recurring series that people look forward to.”

Anna made a small sound of approval. “Okay, okay. That could work.”

“Second, I would look at community engagement. What are you doing to make your customers feel involved? Do you ask them questions? Do you feature their experiences? Do you respond to their feedback in a way that makes them feel heard? You could introduce customer stories, encourage people to share how they use your products, and feature some of those experiences—with their permission, obviously.”

“User-generated content.”

“Exactly. But don’t just ask people to post pictures and hope for the best. Give them a reason to participate. It could be a themed campaign, a challenge, or a monthly feature highlighting customers. The point is to make the audience feel that they have a place in the brand’s story.”

She was already typing something. I could hear the faint tapping through the phone.

“Anna, are you writing this down?”

“Yes, ma’am. Please continue before I lose my source of free consultation.”

I laughed. “You are a menace.”

“Your favourite menace.”

“Unfortunately.”

I flipped to a fresh page in my notebook.

“Third, I think you should consider partnerships beyond influencers. Not every partnership has to involve a person with a large following. You could collaborate with complementary brands, relevant communities, professional organisations, or local initiatives that align with your values. The right partnership can introduce you to an audience that already has a reason to care about what you offer.”

“Can you give me an example?”
