Transmigrated to Raise Panther Cubo
Chapter 145 The Truth Between Worlds
Jaden looked at the reluctance written all over Zachary’s face and said, “Sire, it’s not that bad.”
Even Jaden thinks it tastes bad–and it’s sweet? That’s even worse…
Back when Zachary had first arrived, he had already suspected that something was seriously wrong with both Jaden and Matthew’s taste buds.
With his request denied, Zachary sat at the stone table Jaden and Taylor flanked him on either side, while Matthew sat across from him and pushed the ominous bowl of medicine closer.
It was filled to the brim, nearly spilling over–like a toad nestling inside the bowl.
Zachary stared at Matthew in disbelief. “I have to drink all of it?”
“Yeah.”
What’s the matter with this world? They make up for the potency with quantity?!
Zachary swallowed nervously, took a deep breath, and, like a man marching to his execution, lowered his head and took a sip.
“Ugh—”
The taste was indescribable–bitter, astringent, with a sour, grassy stench. There was a hint of sweetness, sure, but it was a deeply unsettling kind of sweet… like dipping ice cream into fermented bean paste.
Zachary clenched his teeth, barely managing not to spit it out.
Yep. Definitely. This father and son duo have broken taste buds.
All three of them stared at him in unison.
Taylor hadn’t tried it before and asked timidly, “Zachary… is it really that bad?”
But we even added stingtail beast feed… maybe we didn’t add enough?
“It’s terrible,” Zachary said emphatically, nodding hard. “So… can I not drink it?”
“Sire, you need to take medicine to get better,” Jaden said seriously.
Matthew glanced at Zachary, then got up and walked to the stove. He poured a bowl of honey water and set it in front of him.
Taylor hugged Zachary’s arm and said earnestly, “Zachary, you have to take your medicine. I don’t want you
to be sick.”
“What if… you just knock me out and force it down?” Zachary tried one last desperate suggestion..
All three of them looked at him like he’d lost his mind.
“I’m kidding,” Zachary said weakly, letting out a dry laugh. Then he pinched his nose and gulped down half

the bowl in one go.
“Ugh–ugh!”
It felt like his soul had just been assaulted.
Zachary slumped over the table, utterly defeated. “Mr. Bruce… your medicine is downright vicious…”
It took half a bowl of honey water before he finally recovered.
Finished
Having somehow forced the medicine into his stomach, Zachary leaned limply against Matthew, his voice barely a breath. “Matthew… how did you even manage to get me to drink this before?”
“One mouthful at a time.”
“I didn’t struggle?”
“Fed it mouth–to–mouth. Used my tongue to block you.”
“Huh…” Zachary looked up, his eyes full of sympathy. “So you had to suffer through it every time too…”
“Not really. Didn’t feel anything.” Matthew leaned in and kissed his forehead.
After washing up, they extinguished the fire in the main cave. Matthew lit another fire in the adjoining cave instead.
Dusting off the wood chips from his hands, he said to Jaden, “You and Taylor sleep here tonight.”
Jaden glanced at him, then nodded. “Okay.”
Once the two cubs had climbed into bed, Zachary walked in, gently touching Taylor’s flushed cheek before ruffling Jaden’s hair.
Taylor grabbed Zachary’s hand, his eyes bright in the firelight. “Zachary, sleep with us tonight. The bed’s really big. We don’t take up much space at all.”
Zachary tucked the blankets around them. Before he could respond, Matthew’s voice came from the doorway.
“No.”
As much as Zachary wanted to stay with the soft, warm cubs, he knew that right now, he should be the one staying by Matthew’s side.
He smiled softly. “Go to sleep.”
The fire was surrounded by stones and piled high with wood, keeping the cave warm and cozy.
When Zachary returned, Matthew was sitting by the bed, pulling off his clothes. The muscles in his arms flexed with the motion, outlining smooth, powerful lines.
Zachary walked over and gently touched the spot on his shoulder where he had been injured. The scar had already faded significantly.

Finished
Matthew, still in that position, wrapped an arm around Zachary’s waist and pulled him closer, burying his face against his stomach.
Zachary stroked his back with one hand and ran his fingers through his hair with the other, speaking softly. “Matthew… you’ve probably already guessed. I’m not from this world. I don’t know how to explain it, or why it happened. Maybe… it was fate. When I said I wanted to go home, I didn’t mean the Lynx tribe/I meant my real home–Highland Creek Village.”
Matthew didn’t say anything, but his arms tightened around him.
“When I was seven. I came to your world once before. On the snowfield, I met you and…” Zachary lowered his gaze slightly. He had heard from Elias about Matthew’s Alpha and Sire. “I was too young back then. When I went back to my world, I had a fever for more than half a month, and after that, I forgot everything.”
“The second time, I injured my head and followed Harper and the others to the Black Panther Tribe! That’s when I met you again. After Jaden was born, I went back to my world. Just like the first time, I forgot everything. But sometimes, in my dreams, I would see fragments–your face was always blurry, but I kept wanting to get closer to you.”
Zachary gave a small, self–deprecating smile. “I even went to see a doctor–basically the equivalent of your shaman. He gave me medicine, but it didn’t help at all. I still kept dreaming about you.”
Matthew’s breathing grew heavier, as if he wanted to press himself deeper into Zachary, to become part of him.
“Now… I’m back.” Zachary’s eyes reddened. “I’m sorry, Matthew… for making you wait so long…”
