Chapter 175 Prank

Zahcary was pinned deep in the snow. From a distance, one could only see the black panther humping against the snow.
As the night drew in, the spot had turned into a mess.
Midway through. Zachary attempted to escape, but he was inevitably caught and treated more roughly than last time.
The black panther piled on the lynx, yet Zachary wouldn’t try it the second time.
On their way back, Zachary lay on Matthew’s back. He was too tired to move and open his eyes. His tongue
was drooping out of his mouth, and he seemed completely drained.
Matthew was considerate enough to avoid appearing in public. Instead, he cut through the forest to go home.
When they returned to the cave, the cubs were nowhere to be found. Yet, the firewood was neatly stacked against the wall.
Matthew was surprised but didn’t think much of it. After shifting back into human form, he carefully dried Zachary and washed his face and paws.
Then, he finally tucked Zachary in.
Meanwhile, at Yael’s house. The two cubs sat by the fire with their chins resting on their palms, wondering why Matthew and Zachary hadn’t returned at this hour.
Zachary didn’t have dinner. After Matthew finished cooking and called him over, he only smacked Matthew to shut him up. Matthew quickly washed up and joined him in bed.
Zachary was mad at Matthew for having gone too far earlier. He planned to kick Matthew out, but Matthew was good at playing dumb and ignoring Zachary’s protests.
Zachary faced away from Matthew in annoyance and even kicked Matthew to prove it.
When Matthew dragged Zachary’s leg, it startled him. He quickly curled up to protect himself.
He chanted in his mind. *I want to shift back into human form.
News about Wesley reached Matthew’s ears the next day. He barely reacted to it, but insisted on following when Bruce delivered medicine to Wesley’s place.
Donald carried a basket filled with the medicine Bruce spent a long time brewing. He needed to be cautious not to spill a drop. Otherwise, the smell would cling to one for very long.
When Harper spotted them from a distance, he rushed into the cave. A moment later, he greeted them with a smile. “Mr. Bruce, here you are.”

Bruce nodded. “How’s Wesley?”
“It’s still the same.” Harper sighed. His expression froze when he found Matthew behind Bruce.
Once the trio entered the cave, the atmosphere shifted.

“Finish the medicine.” Bruce gestured for Donald to set the basket on the stone table. Then, he took out a bowl of grayish, muddy liquid.
Instantly, a foul odor hit everyone’s noses.
Wesley’s eyes widened from the stench.
Bruce wore a fake smile and ordered, “Drink up.”
Harper weakly argued, “Are you sure it’s drinkable, Mr. Bruce?”
“Of course,” Bruce answered without a moment of hesitation.
Donald added, “Mr. Bruce spent a long time brewing it.”
Bruce urged, “The taste doesn’t matter. Hurry and drink up.”
Matthew leaned against the wall with his arms crossed and staring coldly at Wesley.
Harper carried the medicine to Wesley. “You’ll get better after drinking it.”
Wesley turned away in repulsion because it stank like sewage.
“What’s wrong?” Bruce asked. “Don’t you want to get better?”
“L” Wesley turned to Harper for help.
Harper shook his head. There was nothing he could do.
The group of three stared at Wesley, making it clear they wouldn’t leave until he finished it.
Matthew’s murderous look indicated that he would strangle Wesley on the spot if no one else were around.
Wesley stared in horror as the bowl approached him, and he instinctively shrank into the corner.
Bruce said helpfully. “We can feed you if your arms are injured.”
“I–It’s fine.” Wesley received it with trembling hands and took a deep breath.
He only took the first gulp, but he already felt like throwing up.
Bruce drew back and held his breath.
Donald quickly caught the bowl before its contents spilled and shoved it back into Wesley’s face.
Wesley’s face was contorted by disgust. Even goosebumps dotted his arms.

It tasted horrible to him. He couldn’t understand why such a disgusting and foul thing exist.
He was overwhelmed. All he wanted was to pass out, but he feared more that the trio would force the medicine down his throat.
Bruce’s smile widened. “Finish it. Don’t waste even a drop.”
Wesley was suffering from a burning sensation in his eyes and nose.
He had to stop to retch after every few gulps.
Finally, he finished it.
Bruce nodded with satisfaction. “By the way, it has some harmless side effects. From now on, I’ll brew two doses and send them to you every day to make sure you’re completely cured.”
“What?” Wesley went pale and let out a horrified cry.
The group ignored him. Since they had pranked him, they turned and left.
Once outside, Bruce greedily inhaled the fresh air. “Finally. I need to go to the hot spring when we get back The smell is horrible!”
Donald roasted him. “Yet you brewed it in your place.”
His words reminded Bruce. “Right! I need to ventilate my cave tonight, and I can’t stay there.”
Before Donald could speak, he continued. “I’ll stay at your place today.”
Donald protested, “I-”
”
Bruce concluded, “It’s decided then.”
