Transmigrated to Raise Panther Cubs

Chapter 294 A New Alpha

Yael dropped onto Taylor’s little cart and immediately started fiddling with everything in sight. He poked at random items, messed around with the cart, and even urged the boy to hurry up and drag him home.

Taylor finally lost his patience and sank his teeth into Yael’s arm.

Pointing at the bite mark, Yael laughed. How come there are two empty spaces in the middlef

Roar!Taylor snarled, puffing out his cheeks. He was clearly trying to look intimidating, but only ended Ap looking cute. Grrr!

Rawr!

While Taylor had stayed cheerful throughout the day thanks to his friends and Jaden’s company, his mood instantly soured the moment he returned home.

He leaned over the water barrel, parted his lips, and examined his reflection. At one point, he even pressed two fingers over the missing teeth, trying to hide the gaps.

Yael pulled him back. Watch it. You’re about to drool into the water.

Still upset, Taylor shook him off and ran straight to Quincy, Raising his voice on purpose, he complained, Sire, can you find me a new alpha?

Quincy was busy stirring a pot of soup. Glancing up, he smiled and asked, What kind of alpha are you looking for?

Resting his chin on his hands, Taylor thought for a moment. Someone grownup. Someone who doesn’t take my things. Someone who doesn’t tease his own cub

The list kept going without pause.

Marching over, Yael shot back, Then I want a different cub.

One who behaves, doesn’t bite his alpha, doesn’t cry all the time, and doesn’t sleep late

He rattled off his own complaints

Enthusiastically.

As the two of them bickered like children, Quincy calmly continued cooking, acting as if nothing unusual was happening.

Suddenly, Taylor’s eyes brightened. Then let’s trade.

I’ll be the Alpha, and you can be the cub. Problem solved

Yael blinked. You want to be my alpha?

Taylor nodded earnestly. You want a new cub, and I want a new alpha. Since there’s nobody else to switch with, we’ll just switch with each other.

I don’tYael began to refuse, but then something occurred to him. His gaze darted around before a grin spread across his face. Sure Let’s do it

At dinner, eating was difficult for Taylor without his front teeth. He had to tilt his head and chew with the side of his mouth. Quincy carefully tore the meat into tiny bites before placing them in his bowl.

Sliding his own bowl forward, Yael said, I want that too.

Taylor glanced at him. Did your teeth fall out as well?

As if it’s not obvious,Yael replied. I’m a cub now. You’re supposed to be an adult. Yet you’re still getting help eating. That’s embarrassing.”

He even mimicked Taylor’s usual tone.

Taylor immediately threw his words back at him. So what if Sire likes taking care of me?

Are you jealous?

You should be.

Holding his bowl, Quincy quietly turned away. For one brief moment, he seriously considered kicking both troublemakers out of the cave.

But Yael clearly had a plan. Rather than continuing the argument, he sat beside Quincy after dinner, crossed his legs, and casually ordered, Go on, go wash the pots.

Taylor frowned. Why?

Because that’s usually my job. Since you’re the alpha now, it’s your responsibility.Yael grinned from ear to ear. Go on. Scrub them until they’re spotless.

Taking the arrangement seriously, Taylor decided Yael was right. He rolled up his sleeves, headed to the washing area, and started cleaning.

Nightfall, however, brought Yael an unpleasant surprise.

Standing in front of the cave entrance, Taylor blocked his way. You’re grown up now. Adults sleep on their

And it’s not the cold season anyway.

Cubs shouldn’t stick to adults all the time.”

Every sentence sounded perfectly reasonable.

Every sentence was something Yael himself had once said,

Looking over Taylor’s shoulder, Yael stared at his mate with pleading eyes. I can’t sleep by myself.he said miserably.

Quincy chuckled. Too late to change your mind.”

Bang

Taylor slammed the cave door shut and happily claimed his sire’s embrace all for himself.

Outside, Yael glared at the closed door and shoved it twice. Taylor had locked it securely.

Lying alone on the empty stone bed, he tossed and turned for hours. Never before had he slept by himself while Quincy was so close,

No matter which position he tried, nothing felt right.

Long before sunrise the next morning, Yael was already awake. He paced restlessly around the cave until Quincy finally opened the door. Immediately. Yael wrapped his arms around him and complained about headache caused by a sleepless night, demanding a massage.

Quincy knew perfectly well that he was pretending, but he played along anyway. Letting Yael rest against his lap, he gently massaged his head.

Within minutes, Yael seemed completely recovered.

Then he marched into the cave, scooped up Taylorwho was curled into a ball and sleeping soundlyand lifted him into the air.

Wake up. Wake up. Wake up

He repeated it over and over like a chant.

Taylor finally cracked open his eyes. Still half asleep, he mumbled, What’s wrong?

Get up and chop wood.”

Yael folded his arms. You’re an alpha now. How

w can you still be asleep at this hour?

The quacking beast pen needs cleaning. So does the clucking beast pen.

And the water barrel is almost empty. Go fetch more water.

Still drowsy, Taylor sat up and slowly got dressed. His head hung low the entire time. The moment he finished putting on his shoes, Yael dragged him outside to start working.

The stone axe felt heavy in his hands, and the logs were tough to split. Bent over from exhaustion, Taylor swung again and again, panting with every strike until a small piece finally broke off.

Standing nearby, Yael pointed toward the remaining pile with obvious satisfaction. Taylor, you’ve barely started. There’s still a mountain left.
