“Is that for me?” Zachary had never been cared for like this before. The surprise caught him off guard, and his voice came out unsure.

“You eat too. I can get my own.” Zachary knew Matthew had a big appetite. He did not want him to go hungry.

Matthew’s gaze dropped to the piece of meat resting between Zachary’s eating sticks.

Taylor walked over, picked up the fish that had smacked him earlier, and bit into it. He immediately winced from the heat, teeth bared as he grumbled, “That is what you get for messing with me.”

The meal turned lively, everyone eating and chatting, faces flushed from the heat. The piles of food in front of them slowly disappeared until nothing remained.

The therians leaned back, rubbing their stomachs and letting out satisfied burps. Some of them even licked. at the corners of their mouths, still craving more. If they had any room left, they probably would have finished off the fondue broth too.

Before leaving, everyone worked together to clean up outside the cave. Even Bruce, the shaman, pitched in, sweeping the ground and carrying bowls like everyone else.
