Trapped by Seven Mafia Wolves novel Chapter 100

**Stars Refuse To Blink by Asa River Knox**

**Chapter 100**

**We Want To Help**

**Aurora’s POV**

Raphael’s hand remains firmly clasped around mine, a steadfast anchor in a turbulent sea where I had nearly succumbed to despair. My body still trembles, but I’m here, present, fighting through the storm within me.

Suddenly, the door swings open with an unexpected force.

In strides Andrei.

For a fleeting moment, my mind struggles to comprehend the sight before me. This isn’t the Andrei I know—no crisp button-up shirt, no meticulously knotted tie, and certainly no polished leather shoes that seem to echo with authority from a high-stakes meeting or a night spent mingling with the elite. No, this is something entirely different.

Andrei stands in the doorway clad in… cloud pajamas. Yes, you heard that right. Soft, baby blue fabric adorned with whimsical little white clouds. They’re wrinkled, slightly askew, as though he had thrown them on in a rush or perhaps hadn’t even bothered to change from sleep. His hair is tousled, and his eyes are wide with a wild energy. The moment he sees me, he freezes, as if time itself has paused.

Then, as if a switch has flipped, his entire demeanor shifts. The tension in his body melts away, replaced by an unexpected softness.

“Raphael,” he utters, his voice a low murmur, tight with unspoken emotions.

“I’ve got her,” Raphael replies, his grip on my hand unwavering. “She’s okay. Just a rough one.”

Andrei steps forward, his movements slow and deliberate. Even without the suit, he carries himself with a gravity that suggests the earth itself is attuned to his presence. He kneels beside Raphael and me, his gaze sweeping over my wrapped leg, the bandages peeking out from beneath my sleeves. His jaw tightens, but instead of anger, I sense a deep, unsettling concern. He exhales heavily, as if the weight of the world has just pressed down upon him.

“I’m sorry I scared you,” I whisper, my voice barely audible, a fragile wisp of sound.

“You didn’t,” Andrei responds immediately, his tone resolute, as if he’s stating the simplest truth in the world. “You didn’t scare us. Don’t ever think that.”

A silence envelops us, not awkward but rather profound, as if they are allowing me the space to determine what comes next. Raphael’s voice breaks the stillness, softer now. “You don’t have to talk about it. But we want to help you, Rora.”

I cast my gaze down to my lap, my heart heavy with uncertainty. “I don’t know,” I whisper again, the words feeling like lead in my mouth.

Neither of them flinches at my hesitation.

“Not yet,” I add, my voice barely more than a breath. “I just… I can’t.”

A glance passes between them, a silent exchange that speaks volumes without uttering a single word.

Then, in a gentle gesture, Andrei reaches out and ruffles my hair, his touch tentative, as if he fears I might shatter at any moment. I blink up at him, surprised by the tenderness of the gesture.

“That’s okay,” he reassures me. “You don’t owe us anything.”

“And we’re not going anywhere,” Raphael interjects, his expression earnest.
