After what feels like hours, my body gives in. Every hing–pain, grief, cold–pulls me under. My eyes drift shut through tears I don’t remember cryg.Sleep swallows me whole as the world turns

“Aw, so you admit it’s comfy,” Jace teased, sitting up. He stretched, glanced around. “Where’s Rory?“Leon squinted. “Bathroom?”

check.
“They both wandered into the hallway. No Aurora. No sound.Jace headed downstairs first, his
socked feet quiet on the wood floors. The kitchen light was still on, faint.
