Twin Cupids at Work Daddy Come Home novel Chapter 26

After Helene got the reply, she made another call, “Raine, wanna hang out?”

“Helene? What do you need?”

“Your sister Madeline is back.”

Helene had a final call to make, “Hey, can you do me a favor? Julian is going to get a paternity test with Noah.”

Helene would make sure Julian never found out Noah was his son with Madeline.

...

Brenda stared at Madeline, eyes wide with disbelief.

“So… you actually saw the wrong person?”

Madeline frowned, replaying everything in her mind. She had only caught a quick glimpse, so maybe she really had imagined it. The more she thought about it, the less sure she felt.

“Brenda, you mentioned before that Julian has a son, right? Do you know how old he is?”

Brenda shook her head. “Not exactly. I think he’s about four or five.”

“Four or five?” Madeline repeated softly. “Is he Helene’s kid?”

Brenda shook her head again. “I don’t really keep up with all their drama, so I’m not sure. Most of what I know is just rumors from people in our circle. But according to the gossip, the kid isn’t even Julian’s biological son.”

Madeline’s voice got a little higher. “Not his biological son? So he’s not Helene’s either?”

When she first heard Julian had a child, she immediately assumed it was his with Helene.

But if the boy wasn’t his by blood and not Helene’s either, why was Julian raising him?

Madeline’s face tightened.

Brenda immediately regretted her words. She touched her lips, guilt all over her face. “Sorry, Madeline. I didn’t mean to bring that up.”

“It’s fine.” Madeline’s eyes grew a little brighter. “Whether he is my kid or not, I’ll know when I see him.”

“You want to meet him? That’s not going to be easy. Julian keeps him out of sight, and to even get close, you’d have to approach the Grayson family. That’s risky.”

Madeline murmured, “I have to see that child. After everything that happened today, Julian’s going to be suspicious. Good thing Oliver’s abroad. Even if Julian tries to investigate, he won’t find anything.”

She stared out the window, worrying her fingertip with her teeth, her brows knit in anxiety.

Brenda’s stomach suddenly growled, loud and unmistakable. She gave Madeline a sheepish look. “Madeline, can we get some food first? I’m honestly starving.”
