Twin Cupids at Work Daddy Come Home novel Chapter 475

“Give me his contact info.”

Madeline paused for a second, then rattled off Julian’s email.

“Who’s this guy?” the man asked, his fingers flying across the keyboard.

“Why do you care? Just send him our location.”

He did as she said, then spun the laptop around so she could double-check. Madeline nodded, satisfied, and tossed him the key.

Somewhere else, Julian’s phone buzzed with an anonymous message. It was just an address. He stared at it for a couple seconds, then, without a hint of hesitation, called his team and headed out.

“How do we open this?” Madeline and the blond man had made it to the front door. There weren’t any guards, but a keypad lock blocked their way.

This place was weird. Usually locks were on the outside, but here, it was inside, trapping people in.

“Do you know the code?” Madeline asked.

“No clue.”

Madeline’s nerves spiked. “Then what was your plan for getting us out?”

He studied the lock, shrugging. “Plans are made as you go.”

She shot him a look, pretty sure this was a terrible idea. They couldn’t afford to hang around the door. Any second now, the patrols would spot them.

And of course, she was right.

First try—wrong code.

Second try—still wrong.

Third try… nope.

Suddenly, a shrill alarm blared through the house, loud enough to rattle her teeth.

Downstairs, someone shouted, “Hey! She’s escaping!”

Behind them, the shouts grew louder. The guards had caught up.

“Don’t let them get away!”

“Get the jet skis!”

Madeline glanced around. They were on an island, surrounded by water.

She didn’t hesitate, scrambling with him onto a jet ski. Luckily, the key was already in.

She glanced back. The guards were almost on them. “Do you even know how to drive this thing?”

“Never tried one before.”

“Then why’d you tell me to get on?”

“I thought you could handle it. Besides, what other options do we have? There’s a plane over there if you want to try flying. But if we crash, that’s it. With the boat, worst case, we get caught. So, your call, gorgeous…”
