"I get it! There's no such thing as a sure thing in business, right? If you're willing to help me out, I'm already super grateful!"

"Don't mention it! Remember when you risked your neck to help me against the Melendez Group? That's a bigger favor than anything I'm doing now. If you ever need anything back home, don't hesitate to reach out! Plus, you're Elio's sister, it's only right that I look out for you."

Leah chuckled, "So, can I call you Clara? It feels kinda weird calling you Ms. Calloway all the time."

"Of course."

"Clara, you're awesome! I don't have any friends back home, you're my first good friend!"

Clara responded warmly.

She thought back to when she was raising a child all by herself in a foreign land. Leah's fighting her own battles back home, it's not easy.

If she can give Leah a hand, she should.

After hanging up, she quickly found the morning's timber selection proposal and sent Leah all the timber requirements.

Before long, she received a text from Leah.

"No problem, our timber can definitely meet the Melendez Group's needs! Could you put in a good word with Mr. Melendez?"

Clara rubbed her temples after setting down her phone.
