"Thank god you’re okay! The doc said you just have some scrapes and a minor concussion, you'll be right as rain with some rest!"
Leah still refused to dry her tears, clutching Clara's arm and crying like a child.
Left with no other choice, Clara could only gently stroke her back, soothing her, "It's all over now! I know you're still a bit spooked, but it's all behind us! Where do you live? Let me give you a lift."
"...Alright! I'm even more scared in a place like this hospital! Doctors and nurses bustling about, and those cries from the emergency room, I'm too scared to even move!"
"Don't worry! Come on, I'll take you out of here! But you'll have to hang tight for a bit, I need to check with the doctor if there's anything he needs to tell me."
Leah nodded and finally let go of Clara's hand.
After a little while, Clara came back with a small bag of medications, "Let's hit the road! I'll take you home."
"Okay!"
All the way, Leah was shaking all over, clutching Clara's hand tightly.
When they reached her hotel, Clara was somewhat surprised as she pushed the door open.
The table was covered in documents and reports, and the desk lamp was still on, as though she had been working all night.
"Are you swamped with work?"
