"But no matter what, she's still a stepmom!" Sophia furrowed her brows in worry, "A stepmom will never be like a real mom! Right now, she's just putting on a show because she's in the Melendez family and I'm here, but the more over the top she acts, the more I worry it's all an act!"

"I don't think Ms. Calloway is that type of person!"

"What do you know? Some people seem harmless, but who knows what they're plotting?" Sophia sighed, "Anyway, I feel so sorry for my two grandsons! Such good kids having to live under the care of a stepmom, I think it's all my fault!"

The driver comforted her, "Ma'am, you might be too pessimistic! Maybe things aren't as bad as you think! I've had a few interactions with Ms. Calloway and she's not arrogant at all! She's very nice to us staff, even more so to the kids."

Sophia said, "Forget it, I don't want to think about it anymore! I'm old and how much longer I'll live is unknown! Now, all I can do is protect the kids for as long as I'm alive! As for the rest, I can't control it, I can only remind Emmett to be careful! Especially the kids, they're still small."
