"You just don't get it!"

"Alright, I don't," Leah dropped her purse and sat down next to him. "Actually, I saw this coming even before you talked to her. Emmett is such a catch; no sane woman would ever let him slip away. Clara has Emmett’s baby; how could she just easily go with you? She was in contact with you before because she didn’t know the child was Emmett's. And she thought you could help her, you were of value to her."

Upon hearing this, Elio refused to accept it and immediately glared at Leah.

Leah shrugged and said, "I know I shouldn’t have said that. It pisses you off. But isn’t that the truth? You have to accept it."

"Just mind your own business and do whatever you need to do," Elio said, standing up to leave.

Raising an eyebrow, Leah asked, "Where are you going? To see Clara again?"

"Why are you so damn stubborn! I've made it very clear, why do you still think Clara would agree to leave with you? Let me tell you, the only way for you to be with Clara is to follow my plan!"

"You will only hurt her; you won’t consider her feelings,"

Elio understood that when it came to these tactics, he was no match for Leah. Even he and Clara combined were no match for Leah! So, he wanted to get Clara away from both Emmett and Leah’s schemes as soon as possible. No one could predict what the future would be like.

"Listen to you!" Leah frowned, pulling Elio back onto the couch. "We're family. After you marry Clara in the future, she will be my sister-in-law. Even if I marry Emmett, she is Emmett's ex-wife, and that won’t change our relationship as siblings. As long as you want to marry Clara, I won’t hurt her."

"What you're doing now is hurting her!"
