Emmett cracked a slight smile, "Maybe this is just karma biting me in the butt."

He had so many women trying to get his attention in the past, but he never paid them any mind! Now the tables have turned, and he's the one chasing after Clara.

But before Clara could respond, she saw Ricardo running over from the distance.

"Looks like Ricardo is on the hunt for you! You go on, I'll stay put here."

Emmett glanced at Ricardo, who was waving at him.

"Just stay put, don't wander off. It's not safe around here!"

"Alright, alright! I get it! Can I at least look around a bit?"

"Sure," Hearing her reply, Emmett finally walked towards Ricardo, "You seem a bit on the edge, anything wrong?"

Ricardo was not one to rush around normally.

"Taylor's here! He was asking to see you at the office! When they told him you were out, he headed to the construction site! Should I ask him to wait, or..."

Emmett glanced at the car parked at the entrance to the construction site, biting his lower lip slightly, "Do you know what he wants?"

"Not a clue," Ricardo shook his head, "But it's definitely not work-related. He didn't bring his secretary, nor any documents! If it was about work, he could've just talked to the VP, why would he insist on seeing you?"

Emmett furrowed his brows, silent for a moment, then said, "Let him wait for half an hour. I want to show Clara around the site! Once we're done, you take Clara back and I'll meet with him."

"Got it! I'll go tell him now."

Emmett stood still for a few seconds, then turned to walk towards Clara.
