Clara was taken aback before realizing something was off.

She quickly let go of Taylor's hand and briskly walked towards Emmett, "Hey, what's with the punching! Taylor just recovered from a car accident, what you did...that's not cool, man!"

"So, it's my bad, huh?" Emmett looked at Clara, his eyes deep and complicated.

"No that’s not what I meant," Clara quickly clarified, "I don't regard Taylor as someone special! I just think he's vulnerable right now, like the elderly and children! Do you get what I mean?"

Hearing this, Taylor's eyebrows furrowed, "Clara, you don't need to be afraid of him! He can't hurt me! I know you care about me; you don't have to fear him!"

"What are you talking about?" Clara looked at him, "Where'd you get the idea that I care about you? We've already cleared the air!"

"Clara, what happened was because of my mom, not me!" Taylor was desperate to explain. He tried to reach for Clara's hand, but before he could touch her, Emmett pushed him away.

"I'm not dead yet, Clara is my wife now."
