"A million? Even selling me off wouldn't cover it!" Clara clenched her fists, wishing she could be by his side right now!

Given the option, she would have preferred to never exist in this world rather than having a father like him.

"You may not have it, but doesn't Emmett? I see all the little tricks you two have been pulling!"

"You…"

"I'm giving you three days to get me out here! Or I will spill everything to Emmett, tell him you had a kid with another man, and sold yourself out! Let Emmett completely cut you off! Don't believe me? Try me!"

Clara stared at her now dark phone, with her feelings out of control. She threw the phone away and angrily ran her fingers through her hair!

If she was not so worried about Aiden and Alex, she would really want to go down with that man!

Not long after, Emmett came out of the bathroom and noticed Clara’s grim face. He walked over, asking concernedly, “What’s wrong?”

Clara returned to reality, quickly shaking her head, “Nothing, just thinking about the design draft. Are you done showering? I’ll go now.”

She then quickly dashed into the bathroom.

Emmett looked at her retreating figure, a bit puzzled…

He could clearly see the panic in Clara’s eyes just now. Did something happen again?

Emmett frowned, suppressing his thoughts. He had promised to trust her, so he shouldn’t be making these assumptions.

Maybe she really was just thinking about her design draft…

Emmett was toweling off his hair, about to call Matt to ask about tomorrow’s itinerary.

Suddenly!

Seeing that he didn’t want to go with her, Sophia pulled him, “Come with me; let’s talk. You can tell her if you want, it’s up to you. But I don’t want to see her! Are you really going to choose Clara over your own mother?”

Emmett took a deep breath, glanced at the bathroom, and followed his mother.

Sophia led Emmett to the study and made sure to close the door.

Emmett looked at her, a bit confused, “If you have something to say, just say it. Clara isn’t here now.”

“I found… Alex’s birth mother.”

“ I’ve always had an issue with Clara not being the twins’ biological mother! Now that their real mother is also here, I hope you can meet her.”

Emmett immediately refused, “Why should I meet her? We just had a child. Strictly speaking, we haven’t even seen each other.”
