Clara picked up the utensils and took a bite, "This is so good!"

"As long as you like it," Nestor responded from the side, "Elio was thrilled to hear you started eating. I've been with him for years; this is the first time I've seen him care about a girl this much. Clearly, Elio really likes you."

Clara chuckled softly, looking down, "He's indeed been very kind to me."

She would admit that anytime.

However, this time, he had changed.

"Elio lived a privileged life since childhood. As an only child, his parents pretty much catered to his every whim. He never used to think about others; he was just what you'd imagine a rich young master to be.

But when I came back from overseas this time, I saw the way he looks at you and how he treats you. I knew he’d really fallen for you."

Clara kept her head down, eating her food without responding.

Nestor didn't mind; he even got up to fetch a glass of honey water, "Drink some after you finish eating. It's nutritious. I brought it back from abroad for Elio."

"Thanks." Clara took a sip and then glanced at him cautiously, asking tentatively, "Can I walk into the courtyard after I finish eating? I won't leave this villa. You can come with me."

Nestor hesitated, "I can't decide that... I should call Elio. He said he'd be back once he's done with his stuff. Maybe he can accompany you."

Clara nodded, "Alright."

She knew she couldn't make them let their guard down immediately. She had to take it slow.

Even though she wanted to leave right away, she knew she couldn't rush it, or they'd be alarmed!

Luckily, only Nestor was there now, which increased her chances of escape.
