After Elio left, he drove straight to the entrance of the community. A guy dressed in black waved at him. After Elio got out of the car, he said, "Here's the check. I'll have my secretary handle the paperwork with you."

The guy nodded and chuckled, "Sure, I can cooperate at any time. But, I'm a bit curious. Why do you want to buy my run-down house? You could definitely score a decent place downtown with the dough you're forking over."

"Quit asking and take the money!"

Elio couldn't be bothered to chat at the moment. He glanced up at Clara's place, his brows knitted together, unable to relax for a long time.

At that time, Elio didn't know what he could do to be with Clara or how to protect her so she wouldn't get hurt again.
