He was waiting for Clara's response, and he wished at that moment Clara could tell him everything was out of desperation, that someone forced her to do it.
However, time kept ticking.
Clara's lips were tightly sealed; not a single word came out. She didn't even have the courage to look at him!
Emmett suddenly grabbed her and forced her to look at him, "Tell me! When you called me, was it Elio who forced you? Tell me! Say it!"
He would believe her if she admitted it!
But she didn't.
Clara just bit her lip and turned her face away, "I was not forced. Elio is very good to me; it was my sincere decision to be with him! If you want to blame someone, blame me. Don't involve Elio. I'm willing to bear all your revenge for him!"
"Well, Clara, you really surprised me!" Emmett's fist clenched, as if he wanted to tear her clothes to shreds.
He really wanted to grab her and end it all!
He thought about all those days and nights. The moment he closed his eyes, he would think of that phone call, and think of her face.
He only had feelings for her in his life!
But she was actually with Elio, even planning to live there!
Clara began to have difficulty breathing, but she didn't struggle at all. She wished to just die in Emmett's hands.
Either way, she didn't want to live anymore.
After that, he suddenly let go of his hand and turned to leave.
Matt glanced at Clara, slightly frowning, "Clara, please don't make this hard for me. Mr. Melendez asked you to go home. Just do as he says."
"No, no, I really..."
Clara really wanted to spill all the truths, but she knew clearly that if Emmett knew all that, he would have definitely done anything, even risk his life, rather than being threatened by Leah.
But she hoped he could survive and live well for her own sake, and for their two children.
Matt's voice interrupted her thoughts, "I'm sorry." He reached out to grab her, but suddenly heard a loud noise behind him.
Emmett just fell straight to the ground!
