Clara frowned, "You just don't get it! Anyway, I can't go back with you."

Emmett looked up at her, narrowing his eyes slightly, "What? Do you still want to be with Elio?"

"No! If I wanted to, I could've left the hospital when you were unconscious! Emmett, stop blaming Elio. My decision to not go back with you has nothing to do with him."

Emmett's face turned pale, his lips losing their color.

He lifted his head slightly and asked, "Do you still consider yourself Mrs. Melendez of the Melendez family? Do you think I'm still going to spoil you?"

"That's not it. Listen to me, Emmett."

"Matt, take her away. I don't want to hear her anymore."

"Yes, Mr. Melendez."

Emmett didn't pay attention to her words; he stood up and left the hospital room.
