"Mr. Melendez, don't forget that I'm just your pretend wife!" Clara finally couldn't help but whisper a reminder. "If you get me used to this lifestyle, when our contract ends, I'll be left high and dry. After all, when left to my own abilities, forget about private jets, it'll be a miracle for me just to get near one!"

"That can be easily solved." Emmett's thin lips moved slightly, "As long as the contract doesn't end."

Clara glanced around and said, "I need to use the restroom."

"Okay." Emmett was in a video conference on his phone, so he just nodded, indicating she could leave.

Clara quickly left with her phone, running straight to the restroom in the VIP lounge.

She looked around carefully.

This place should be safe, as it is less likely for people to come here.

Clara answered the call, and Elio's displeased voice came through.

"Why are you always so secretive? You didn't answer my calls, as if you were up to no good!"

"What bad thing could I possibly do?! I was too busy with work and didn't hear it! I'm at the airport now, just wait for me there."

From the other end of the phone came Alex's young voice.

Clara was worried that Emmett would come looking for her soon.
