Unemployed Family? Hidden Tycoons Dote On Her novel Chapter 549

"According to the test results, Dylan has made a full recovery. I've reported this to my superiors and am awaiting further instructions. Until then, no one is permitted to enter his room." With that, the officer escorted Sarah out into the hallway.

He then positioned himself firmly in front of the door, blocking any approach.

"Please, just let me see him for a moment. He's only just gotten better," Sarah pleaded, trying to step around him. There were still things she wanted to say to Dylan.

But the officer didn't budge. His tone was firm and left no room for negotiation. "Ma'am, I need you to step back. Causing a disturbance here won't help anyone. If you continue to interfere, I'll have to take further action."

Sarah shrank back, the warning clear. She didn't dare push any further.

After lingering for a few minutes, she realized it was pointless. Clenching her jaw in frustration, she finally turned and hurried away down the corridor.

Back inside the hospital room, Dylan lay motionless on the bed, his eyes fixed blankly on the ceiling. All the life seemed to have drained out of him.

He knew it was over.

He knew that everything that had happened today was Arabella's doing—all carefully planned.

That ruthless Arabella. Even after he'd ended up in this state, she still wasn't finished with him. She was determined to ruin him completely.

What was he supposed to do now?

The thought of going to prison filled him with dread.

Was she really trying to push him to the brink?

Over in Orion's office, Aaron gave Arabella a warm, appreciative smile. "To be so skilled at your age—how did you manage it?"

"I guess I just started early and got lucky along the way," Arabella replied simply, not offering more detail.

Sensing she didn't wish to elaborate, Aaron didn't press. Instead, he remarked thoughtfully, "Watching your technique, even if you had gone through with the procedure, he would have been fine. But how did you know for sure he'd recover so quickly?"

After all, the man had been faking his illness to evade legal consequences.

"Aaron, they weren't completely wrong about one thing," Arabella began, pausing briefly. "We have known each other for years. They just misunderstood who I really am. What I know about them, though—that's always been accurate."

A confident smile touched her lips. "Dylan has always been terrified of needles. I didn't even need to actually use one. Just the sight of it was enough."

Aaron let out a hearty laugh. "So Dr. Hamilton is well-versed in psychological strategy, too."

Arabella's smile softened. "Psychology is part of medicine, in its own way."

"Well!" Aaron was momentarily taken aback, then chuckled even louder. "You've got a point there. Clever way to put it."

"See, Aaron? No matter what, I'm making sure Dr. Hamilton stays right here with us at the hospital," Orion cut in, sounding rather proud of himself.

"Not bad at all. You really landed a lucky break," Aaron said with an approving nod.

"Aaron, did you come back just to handle Dylan's case?" Arabella asked curiously.
