Chapter 210 Out of Control
The shift was so sharp it snapped something in Nathan.
He couldn’t process what Elena had just said, and he definitely couldn’t accept it. Rage took over in an instant. He lunged forward and wrapped his hand around her throat.
His grip tightened hard.
Elena hadn’t expected him to turn physical.
She grabbed his wrist and tried to pry it off, but it didn’t move. It felt like trying to peel steel apart with bare hands. Nathan was completely lost in his anger, and nothing she did could shake him.
She drove her knee up, then kicked at him.
Nathan didn’t even react. Pain didn’t register anymore. His voice rose, raw and unstable.
“What gives you the right to hate me? And lie to me like that?”
He couldn’t accept that Elena had never truly loved him.
And even more than that, he couldn’t accept that everything he once thought was his had slipped through his fingers like it meant nothing.
Elena’s vision started to blur.
All she could do was pray someone would pass by.
But the street stayed quiet.
Too quiet.
The more she needed help, the emptier it felt.
Her breathing grew shallow. The air was slipping away fast.
Just as panic started to take over, a group of people came into view.
Alexander was there. Ashton too, along with the others. They looked like they had just wrapped up

dinner.
He moved fast, closing the distance in long strides, then drove a brutal side kick straight into Nathan’s waist. Nathan had no time to react. He lost his balance and tumbled down the steps.
Elena was dragged forward with him, but Alexander caught her in time, pulling her back before she went

She staggered, clutching her throat, coughing hard.
Finished
Alexander didn’t stop to check on her. He pushed her toward Ryan, who had rushed over, then headed down the steps in two quick strides.
Nathan was still trying to get up.
Alexander didn’t give him the chance.
He planted a kick into Nathan’s shoulder, knocking him flat again.
Then he grabbed his collar, shoved him down, pinned him with a knee to the chest, and started swinging.
He kept swinging, punch after punch, with no hesitation and no restraint.
Elena was still coughing, her head spinning, not even looking their way.
Ryan glanced over, his expression tightening. He leaned closer and said. “Mrs. Kingsley, you need to stop him. This is going to spiral fast.”
Elena snapped back and looked down.
Nathan’s face was already swollen beyond recognition.
Her heart jumped. She rushed down and grabbed Alexander’s arm. “Stop, seriously, stop! You’re going to kill him!”
The words finally cut through the noise.
Alexander slowed. The fury in his eyes started to fade, replaced by something clearer.
His knuckles were streaked with blood.
It wasn’t obvious whose.
Ryan stepped aside to deal with the clients. Someone nearby had already called 911.
Elena didn’t care about that right now. She held onto Alexander’s hand tightly, afraid he’d lose control again. “Don’t hit him anymore. He won’t make it.”
Nathan pushed himself up, barely steady, something flickering in his eyes.
Hope.
She’s worried about me?
Then what about everything she just said? Before his thoughts could run too far, Elena spoke again.
“He’s not worth anything. But if something happens to you, what are Grandpa and Mom supposed to do? What about me?”
Nathan froze completely,

Alexander’s focus fully returned. He looked at Elena, catching the fear in her eyes, and forced his tone to soften. “Did I scare you?”
“No.” Elena said.
She took his hand and examined his knuckles carefully.
Just surface scrapes,
Nothing serious. All from hitting Nathan too hard.
She pulled a tissue from her bag and gently wiped away the blood. “You don’t need to get hurt over trash like him.”
Nathan went silent.
The police arrived not long after.
The officers came in ready to take control, but the moment they recognized Alexander and Nathan, their energy dropped.
This wasn’t a simple situation anymore. Still, given Nathan’s condition, sending him to the hospital was the safest move.
