The more Caroline thought about it, the angrier she got. There was no way she would let this cheating couple off easily.

Thinking that, she picked up her phone and read all the sappy texts about old memories and future dreams. A small, sneaky smile appeared on her face.

“Jonathan, about what I said the other day … I guess I went a little too far. I haven’t been eating or sleeping well lately. Can you come over tonight? We should talk.”

She sent the message and waited. And waited. But for a long time, there was no reply.

Caroline’s smile grew a little wider. She thought to herself, Anyone can act all sweet and innocent, right?

Right now, Jonathan and Reese were probably arguing badly.

Or maybe Reese was pretending to forgive and act sad, trying to trick Jonathan.

But Caroline knew Jonathan too well.

Even if he liked Reese, even if he had zero feelings for her, he would never just let go of such a sweet deal.

“Jonathan, I know this is sudden. But we’ve been together a long time. It’s time to move forward. I’m waiting tonight at the Starlit Hotel on Maple Street. Just tell the front desk you’re going to room 1203.”

After sending it, Caroline turned off her phone and went to sleep.

And wow, she slept so well.

That room 1203 at the Starlit Hotel wasn’t chosen randomly..

In her previous life, she met a rich, spoiled guy who thought money could solve everything.

She had heard he always kept a private suite in that exact hotel, room 1203.

Tonight, she just wanted Jonathan to take a chance. If he got tricked, she would probably laugh in her dreams.

The next morning, Caroline turned her phone back on.

She saw dozens of missed calls and over a dozen text messages.

Interestingly, some were from Jonathan, some from Reese,

Caroline opened the messages, curious.

She opened Jonathan’s messages first.

As firm, it was a bunch of texts like, “Where are you? I’m at the hotel. Why can’t I reach you?”

A few more messages said the same thing.

Then came messages like, “I’m at room 1203. Why aren’t you opening the door?”

“Caroline, what the heck? There’s a man inside! Where are you? Say something! I got beat up!”

After that, it was mostly just him cursing at her.

Clearly, Jonathan was panicking.

And it was obvious he had actually been beaten up.

Caroline just raised an eyebrow, feeling pretty satisfied.

Then she left Jonathan’s chat and opened Reese’s messages.

This was a completely different feeling.

Reese was pretending to be super concerned. She said Jonathan told her that Caroline wanted to give him her first time. Reese asked if she was really sure about it.

Caroline, your first time is important. You need to think carefully. Jonathan said you wanted to meet at a hotel. Caroline, you’re not that kind of girl. What’s happening? Did something go wrong?”
