Chapter 632 A Revenge That Went Too Far
The filthy liquid sprayed straight into the baby crib. Jet rushed forward to block it. He meant to protect the cubs, but he ended up getting soaked from head to tail. He became a drenched, stinking bird in seconds.
Seeing how bad it was, Jet flew up and grabbed the pipe with his claws. He wrestled with it in midair. The yellow mess splashed everywhere, even up the wall, almost six feet high. Those stains were all proof of his fight.
Jet tried to yank the pipe harder. He even almost pulled the person out of balance. He used too much strength. The smell hit him all at once, and he passed out on the spot.
“I was trying to save the cubs!” Jet cried when he came to. “I wanted to breathe fire at the pipe, but I was scared I’d burn the house down! I tried to scare those humans away and ended up getting bullied!
“Human, you have to stand up for me!” he shouted.
The more he talked, the more worked up he became.
Caroline didn’t answer right away. Her hands were busy. She quickly lifted each cub out of the crib. She washed them one by one, wiped their fur dry, and fed them clean spring water.
One cub was in the worst shape. It was the one that had almost died yesterday. Now its body was convulsing. Its eyes rolled back, and the spine brace Nelson had fixed earlier was crooked again.
The other cubs weren’t much better. They had been soaked in the filth for too long. All of them were terrified. A few coughed and spat out dirty liquid.
Caroline stayed silent while Jet ranted beside her.
She told Kay to take the cub that needed the brace back to Nelson right away. The others were cleaned and placed into the storage space for now.
Kay didn’t say a single word.
She could tell Caroline was furious. And she knew this wasn’t the time to talk. Saving the cubs came first.
Kay helped clean and dry the pandas, then ran to deliver the injured one to Nelson.
Once the cubs were finally stable, Caroline lifted her head. She looked at Jet, who had carved a

Her eyes were bright. So bright.
So bright that Jet felt like a fireball could burst out of them at any second.

Half an hour earlier, Caroline had already thought of the top suspect. Next door, Brittany was shaking in her room.
Brittany had just yelled at her daughter. She had even slapped her twice.
But Echo fought back, scratching her face bloody. She also threw a kettle of hot water at her. Brittany barely avoided getting badly burned.
Only then did Brittany realize her child had been spoiled beyond control.
Even so, the person she hated most was still Caroline.
She and her daughter had lived just fine in the base. Why did Caroline have to show up and mess with their lives?
Brittany had already forgotten that her daughter was the one who started it.
All she remembered was this: Caroline had tricked her out of a pile of canned food. Echo had made a huge scene. Some man had stared at Echo in a way she didn’t like. Her daughter had ended up hitting her. And worst of all, Caroline had beaten up her brothers.
Still, Brittany was scared.
She had asked around yesterday about who Caroline really was.
After learning about her ties with the army and everything she had done, Brittany knew even her husband wouldn’t dare provoke someone like that.
And Echo had gone and dumped filth at Caroline’s door today.
She had used the last few cans of food at home and teamed up with some bad kids in the base.
They even found a boy with an ability to sneak the pipe inside.
When Brittany found out, she panicked. She was sure Caroline would come for revenge.
Brittany started packing at once. She planned to hide. She would give some supplies to people from the lower levels and disappear among them with her daughter. If she stayed hidden, even
