Chapter 22 Behind the Scar 

Adam heard this and looked at her closely. He didn’t press further and said to Henry, “Let’s go in. Everything’s been arranged.” 

In the visiting room, they sat in the same spot as before. 

“Aren’t you guys tired of this? Coming to see me again, I already told you to stop bothering me.” 

William swaggered out and sat in the chair. But when he saw the girl outside the glass clearly, his voice cut off abruptly. 

Henry didn’t speak. He just quietly watched him. 

William’s face turned extremely dark. Madness flashed in his eyes as he gritted his teeth. “Don’t drag my family into this! If you’ve got guts, come at me directly!” 

Seeing Anna’s current appearance and the miserable state of her face, his heart was bleeding. His hatred for Henry exceeded. everything else. 

Anna also harbored resentment. She didn’t speak but coldly looked at her father. Their father-daughter relationship seemed 

strained. 

“Go outside first,” Henry said. His purpose had been achieved. So he waved for Anna to leave. 

William was silent for a moment. Then he spoke again, “If you dare touch my daughter, I’ll make your life a living hell.” 

Henry’s expression remained calm. “Threatening me won’t work. Let me tell you a story. 

“There was a girl whose mother ran off with another man when she was little. This left her and her dad to depend on each other. The girl was a good kid with excellent grades. But her father was a piece of trash. 

“Every day when he came home, he’d either bring his lowlife friends or bring different women. This seriously polluted the girl’s 

mind. 

“Later, she became introverted and withdrawn. She was afraid to communicate with others. She studied hard every day, hoping to get into a good college and escape her father’s grip. 

“But one day, her father went to prison. No one was left to take care of her. Then people at school started bullying her. They said her mother was a slut. They said her father was a criminal scumbag. They insulted her during the day at school. They ganged up to bully her after school, nearly breaking her spirit. 

“At this time, a street punk found her. He helped her get back at the bullies. He took her out to experience the wild side. He opened the door to a whole new world for her.
