Vengeful Billionaire and His Lovers (Jerome Howard) novel Chapter 25

Chapter 25 Agreement

Charlotte giggled. “Sorry, I just thought of something funny. My laugh had nothing to do with Henry being crippled.”

She dragged out the word crippled on purpose. Everyone could tell she meant it.

Rosalie narrowed her eyes, a flash of cold light in them.

Henry said calmly, “It’s fine.”

Charlotte never respected him anyway. She never treated him as her brother-in-law, only as some stranger. Her mood wouldn’t change no matter what.

Mary spoke carelessly, “I don’t know who this lady is. Mind introducing her?”

Her eyes studied Rosalie with sharp judgment.

Henry replied, “This is my sister, Rosalie.”

“Oh? Weren’t you an orphan? Since when do you have a sister? This is Luciana’s house. You really shouldn’t be bringing strangers in,” Mary said coldly.

Henry frowned, his voice firm. “Mary, she’s my sister. Please watch your words.”

Ezra stood up. “I’ll step outside for a smoke.”

As soon as he left, Mary curved her bright red lips into a smirk. “Henry, Luciana works hard every day. And here you are, at home all day with your sister. A man and a woman living together like this? Do you think that’s fair to Luciana?”

So this was her move.

No wonder Ezra stepped outside. It was obvious-he played the good cop, and she played the bad one.

Charlotte sat back with a playful grin, clearly enjoying the show.

Henry said flatly, “If Luciana has a problem, she can come tell me herself. And let’s skip the small talk. Just get to the point. What do you want?”

“Fine, since you put it that way, I won’t waste time.”

Mary pulled a contract from her bag. “Luciana is now the CEO of her company. She’s in the spotlight. If you were still healthy, I wouldn’t say anything. But look at you now-do you really think your marriage can survive this? Maybe short term, sure. But long term? You don’t think she’ll resent you?

“Save yourself the humiliation. Sign this, and I’ll give you ten million dollars.”

Charlotte grabbed the contract and tossed it onto the table in front of Henry.

It was a divorce agreement.

It said all marital property would belong to Luciana. In exchange, Henry would get a one-time cash payout of ten million dollars.

From a money standpoint, Henry wouldn’t exactly lose. Over the years, his own salary barely added up to less than two million.
