Video game I Can Turn Waste Into Treasure novel Chapter 60

Chapter 60

Russell asked, “What do you think his real deal is? Why would those thugs working for Yellow listen to him?

Windsor shrugged. “Doesn’t matter who he is. Looks like my kid won’t have a hard time sticking with him”

Russell said, “Guess teaming up with him was the right move. Suddenly, I’ve got a lot more confidence in my restaurant.

Russell said, “But seriously, why are you covered in green feathers? You look absolutely ridiculous.”

Windsor replied, “Isn’t it obvious? I’m trying to disguise myself so those rat monsters won’t notice me. It’s working pretty well

Russell stared at him, lost for words.

Gwen: [Come on, it’s a little bear. What’s there to be scared of?]

Andrea: [If Gwen says there’s nothing to fear, then that’s all we need to hear.

[Alright, enough talk. Let’s get this started.]

Andrea watched as the crowd finally settled down, and the rat creatures, following her orders, had already led the troublemakers out of sight.

Andrea and Gwen, who had come over, started figuring out how to handle the giant bear.

Andrea and Gwen didn’t give up. A bunch of players were also hoping to get out of here alive.

They wanted to try their luck too.

But when a few of them charged ahead, the bear smacked them away with its massive paws. Several coughed up blood and stayed down for good.

Chapter 60

Gwen gripped her blade, giving the giant bear a quick once-over.

Without warning, she kicked off the planter and railing, vaulting herself straight at the bear.

“Alright, let’s see what this bear can do!” she called out.

Andrea was totally taken aback. Gwen hadn’t even discussed this with her.

‘Man, Gwen is seriously badass! Andrea thought.

Gwen grabbed onto the chains wrapped around the giant bear, using the momentum to swing herself up and nimbly land on its back.

The bear didn’t even see her as a threat. It grabbed the chain and tried to hurl her off.

This beast clearly loved nothing more than smashing people to death. Every time it sent someone flying, a savage, blood- soaked grin twisted across its face.

Before the bear could throw her off, Gwen jumped right onto the back of its paw.

She stabbed down hard.

The bear roared in pain and swung its other paw at her, but Gwen was already out of there, dodging away in a blink.

Andrea waited for the perfect opening and let three arrows fly, aiming right at the bear’s face.

The bear was too slow to dodge. The arrows struck it hard in the jaw. The bear howled in pain, shaking the whole place with its furious roars.

The bear lunged forward a few steps, then retreated, stubbornly staying within the territory it was guarding.

Then, a guy suddenly dashed out from the crowd.

While the bear was yanking out the arrows, his twin blades gleamed as he struck, carving two nasty gashes into the bear’s leg.

Blood gushed out instantly.

Everyone watching went wild, cheering at the sight.

“Looks like we’ve got a shot. They managed to wound the bear!” someone shouted.

“It’s some flesh wounds. Don’t get too excited,” another player said.

“Yeah, that didn’t do any real damage to the bear!” someone else chimed in.

“If you think you’re so tough, why don’t you get out there instead of whining?” someone shot back.

A person said, “Hang in there!”

Another said, “Keep fighting!”

Someone said, “You’re our only hope!”

Most of the players had hope flickering in their eyes, even if it was barely there.

Andrew, Gwen, and the man didn’t reply. All they cared about was staying alive.

The three shot each other a look and nodded, ready to team up and take on the bear together.

Right before Gwen could make another move, Andrea whipped out a dagger.

It was the one she’d been grinding every day. Its edge was boosted by ten whole levels. Every upgrade made it deadlier in

battle

With the way things were going, Gwen could really put it to good use.

“You can have it for now,” Andrea said.

Gwen’s eyes lit up as soon as she got the dagger. She didn’t hesitate for a second and immediately switched to it.

She handed Andrea a machete. It looked as formidable. It was definitely worthy of a pro weapon maker.

The bear was way too tough. Even with all three of them going at it together, they could barely do any real damage.

All they could do was keep grinding it down, wearing it out bit by bit.

Each of them pulled the bear in a different direction, constantly dragging it around.

They made it run all over the place, hoping to tire it out.

But their own stamina was draining as fast.

The bear was a bloody mess, covered in gashes and drenched from head to toe.

But instead of slowing down, it seemed to get even more fired up, like it got a second wind.

Licking up its own blood, it let out a savage roar, even fiercer than before.

Some people in the crowd started grumbling and talking down.

“It’s over! Why does that bear keep getting stronger?” someone wailed.

“Told you not to count on them. They’re not gonna make it,” another player scoffed.

“You’re not even helping. Quit running your mouth. If you end up dead, you totally asked for it!” someone shot back.

Some players stepped forward, pulling out their weapons.

They didn’t dare get close, but at least ranged attacks were an option. Even tossing stones was better than nothing. At least it showed they were making an effort.

Suddenly, a barrage of weapons flew toward the bear. The trio barely avoided getting hit themselves.

But it actually worked. A powerhouse in the crowd hurled an axe and nailed the bear right in the head.

The bear looked dazed.

Seizing the moment, the three of them darted in and landed several quick blows.

Blood spurted everywhere. The bear finally took a hit.

Andrea realized that the poison from her arrows was kicking in at last.
