What She Overheard in Her Own Marriage novel Chapter 331

"Mr. Sanders..." Simon Quinn immediately stood up. In that moment, he felt a twinge of guilt.

Even knowing that Kaia and Finnian's relationship was on the rocks and a divorce was looming, they were still legally married.

"Mr. Quinn, thank you for looking after my wife and daughter," Finnian Sanders said with polite but icy restraint.

Simon's handsome face flushed with embarrassment.

Kaia Chavez despised Finnian's passive-aggressive tone. "Simon, you should head back first," she interjected smoothly. "Safe travels."

Simon glanced at Kaia, nodded, and turned to Finnian. "Mr. Sanders, I'll take my leave."

As Simon brushed past Finnian's shoulder, Finnian's voice stopped him. "Mr. Quinn, I hope you understand boundaries. After all, constantly seeking opportunities to meet another man's wife is hardly ethical."

"Finnian..." Kaia's voice dropped into a warning tone.

A smile played on Finnian's lips, though it didn't reach his predatory gaze.

Simon halted. He looked Finnian dead in the eye. "I might need to reflect on my actions, but doesn't Mr. Sanders need to do the same?"

The smile froze on Finnian's face. He believed every decision he made was flawless; what was there to reflect on?

"You might want to make yourself clearer," Finnian demanded, his somber gaze bearing down on Simon with heavy pressure.

Simon wanted to snap back, but seeing the color drain from Kaia's face, he swallowed his words. "My apologies. I hope this hasn't caused any misunderstandings. Kaia and I are strictly friends."
