Noelle arrived around 7:00 PM. It was an intimate fusion restaurant.
Outside their private dining room was a beautifully landscaped courtyard. Soft, ambient lighting and the faint strain of jazz music created a romantic atmosphere.
Quiet, intimate, and effortlessly elegant—everything was set up perfectly.
As Noelle pushed open the door, she saw Julian already waiting for her.
She offered him a charming smile. "Is this a new spot? I don't think I've ever been here before."
Julian chuckled softly. "Yeah, it's actually a new franchise my family just launched."
"Oh, impressive," Noelle purred, her lips curving into a delighted smile.
Staring at the stunning woman standing before him, Julian found he couldn't tear his eyes away.
At the same time, he couldn't help but notice she seemed to have lost a little weight recently.
Her delicate features were drawn, and the sight of her looking so fragile tugged at his heartstrings.
"Take a seat. I ordered some Plum Black Tea for you. It's supposed to stimulate the appetite," Julian said, placing a warm cup by her hand.
"Thank you." Noelle smiled, taking a delicate sip.
Julian sat down opposite her and signaled the waiter. Course after course began to arrive.
Taking a look at the spread, Noelle covered her mouth with a coy giggle. "How is it that these are all my absolute favorites?"
Julian matched her smile. "I wasn't sure if your tastes had changed, so I just ordered what I knew you used to love."
"You're being so sweet, I'm almost a little overwhelmed." Noelle lowered her eyes, a shy flush coloring her cheeks as she subconsciously tucked a loose strand of hair behind her ear.
That one tiny, demure gesture practically cast a spell on him. His gaze darkened with unmistakable desire.
Catching himself staring, Julian quickly looked away, the tips of his ears burning red.
Noelle picked up her fork and took a dainty bite. "Mm, this is fantastic."
