Noelle opened the messages and gasped. It was photos of Kaia and Finnian appearing together at the entrance of city hall.

Noelle's heart leaped in her chest. They actually got divorced?

Immediately after, a message from her informant followed: "Ms. Lawrence, please check these photos."

In that moment, Noelle was torn between intense joy and deep anxiety. Finnian had finally divorced Kaia, but because of one critical misstep, Noelle had been banished from the Sanders family home.

Around eight o'clock that evening, Kaia parked her car in front of The Chavez Residence.

Sitting in the driver's seat, she looked at the familiar street and the warm, golden lights glowing from the yard. It felt as if a heavy burden had finally been lifted from her shoulders.

She got out of the car, grabbed the fruit she had bought, and walked inside.

Jane had just finished feeding Brynlee half a bowl of rice when she heard footsteps outside. She looked up and saw her daughter walking through the door.

"Mom!" Brynlee ran toward her with a bright smile. "Are you off work?"

Kaia reached out and gently cupped her daughter's little face, her voice soft. "Yeah, just got off. Did you guys finish eating?"

Jane smiled from the side. "We just finished too. We saved some food for you, go on and eat."

"Okay!" Kaia smiled as she walked further in. Warren Chavez looked at her. "Is the divorce all finalized?"

Kaia nodded. "It's done."

"He didn't give you a hard time, did he?" Warren asked, his tone laced with protective concern.
