Kaia nodded. "With the change in seasons, it's peak time for catching colds. You really need to pay close attention to any changes in her health."

Simon sighed helplessly. "I don't have much experience. I'll have to ask Dr. Chavez to impart some of her wisdom to me in the future."

Kaia looked at him and laughed. "Anna is so lucky to have such a responsible uncle."

Being praised by her made Simon feel a surge of delight, though the tips of his ears flushed slightly hot.

Simon delivered the line as a joke, but Kaia froze.

He quickly changed the subject. "This restaurant is new. Take a look at the menu—I only ordered one dish so far."
