"Dr. Chavez, I've compiled all the details we discussed over the phone," Quinn said, standing up to grab his laptop. His expression turned grim. "The situation... is far more complicated than we initially anticipated."
Kaia nodded and stated flatly, "I saw them at the hospital today. They were getting a check-up at the OB/GYN department. I suspect they're planning to have a child out of wedlock. I want to add new clauses to the divorce agreement regarding child custody and asset division."
Quinn looked at the composed, fiercely determined woman across from him. "What clauses do you want to add? Let me get this down."
Kaia took two sips of her coffee before speaking with absolute calm. "I want a notarized declaration stating that he currently has no children out of wedlock with any third party. Furthermore, if any illegitimate children are born in the future, it will be considered an automatic forfeiture of all his legal rights and inheritance shares pertaining to his legitimate daughter, Brynlee."
As Quinn typed rapidly, Kaia continued, "Regarding asset division, I want a dedicated growth and education trust fund established exclusively for Brynlee. It must be managed solely by me, and no one else will have the authority to touch or alter it."
Behind his glasses, Quinn's eyes grew intense and solemn.
He had handled countless high-profile divorces, but it was incredibly rare to see a woman as clear-headed and ruthlessly decisive as Kaia—no tears, no hysterics, just pure strategy.
"Mr. Finch, my core demands haven't changed. First, I want full custody. I need to eliminate any future interference or threats from the Sanders family, especially from any potential illegitimate children. Second, on the financial side, I must secure a settlement large enough to completely guarantee my and Brynlee's future living expenses, education, medical needs, and the capital for my own career. To achieve that, I am willing and require you to use every legal and necessary pressure tactic available."
Quinn pushed his glasses up his nose and nodded. "Dr. Chavez, I can see exactly how determined you are."
Kaia stared out the window. The glass was foggy, blurring the sprawling city below into a gray smear.
