What She Overheard in Her Own Marriage novel Chapter 601

Noelle Lawrence jolted at Finnian Sanders' words. She immediately bit her lip, pleading, "Finnian, I'm still carrying a child. I'm so cold right now. Can we please go into the living room to talk? You wouldn't want anything to happen to this baby, would you?"

Finnian instantly understood the audacity of Noelle's visit.

Because she was carrying his late brother Rafael's child, she was absolutely certain he would care.

Such venomous calculation, such deep manipulation—Finnian truly began to question everything he knew.

He had always thought he possessed a sharp eye, capable of seeing through the darkness of human nature and navigating the treacherous waters of the business world. But the one thing he had failed to see was whether the hearts of his closest relatives were pure or utterly black.

This was his greatest mistake. He had trusted his family far too much.

At that moment, his gaze turned somber. It was as if he were seeing Noelle clearly for the very first time.

Seeing him stare at her unblinkingly, Noelle assumed his heart was aching for her again.

She squeezed out two tracks of tears and put on a pitiful display. "Just let me go inside to warm up, please? I'm feeling really unwell right now."

"Dexter, escort her out," Finnian ordered coldly, refusing to let her set foot in his living room.

"Finnian..." Panic seized Noelle. She lunged forward, but could only manage to grab one of his arms. She clung to it tightly. "Don't send me away. I'm terrified of being alone. I don't want to leave."

"Let go of me, Noelle." Every cell in Finnian's body trembled with fury. He had never imagined a day would come when her touch would disgust him so thoroughly.

Assistant Dexter rushed over, intercepting Noelle's arm as she tried to latch onto Finnian again. "Ms. Lawrence, get in the car. I'll take you back to the apartment."

"I don't want to leave..." Noelle looked at Finnian with tear-filled eyes.

But Finnian had already turned his back to her, taking long strides toward the villa's entrance without a single backward glance.

"Ms. Lawrence, stop making a scene. Mr. Sanders detests this kind of behavior," Dexter said, finding Noelle's performance tonight incredibly excessive.

"Then what kind of behavior does he like?" Noelle's eyes lit up as she stepped forward to plead with him. "You're his assistant, you know his preferences better than anyone. Please, tell me."

"Ms. Lawrence, are you genuinely foolish or just pretending? What Mr. Sanders despises most is hypocrisy, deceit, and acting like a lunatic to garner sympathy." Dexter had entirely lost the desire to spare her feelings.
