What She Overheard in Her Own Marriage novel Chapter 634

"Because he's arrogant and prideful," Silas interjected. "He thought asking would completely shatter his male ego."

Kaia paused. So that was it.

Seraphina let out a cold chuckle. "Not necessarily. He probably didn't ask because he couldn't be bothered. That lingering, ambiguous tension he had with Noelle was what really clouded everything."

Kaia lowered her head, realizing that was undoubtedly the most accurate answer.

"Did he actually like Noelle that much?" Silas raised an eyebrow. "I always got the vibe that he wasn't really all that obsessed with her."

"I've been watching them since we were kids. Do you think I'd get it wrong?" Seraphina scoffed. "I visited Grandmother today for the New Year, and she filled me in on the whole Noelle situation. That woman finally got exactly what she deserved. She turned the Sanders family completely upside down. If we didn't kick her out now, who knows how much further she would drag us down?"

Curiosity piqued, Kaia asked Seraphina a few questions about Noelle. Before, she only had her own suspicions, along with the half-truths Noelle had spouted during her sudden apology.

Seraphina held nothing back, laying out the entire saga. Kaia concluded that Noelle had fully brought the misery upon herself and didn't deserve a shred of sympathy.

"When you're that used to stealing other women's men, it just becomes second nature," Seraphina sneered. "She thrived on the superiority she felt around them. Throw her in a room full of guys, and she had to be the secret focal point they all revolved around. And she was flawless at it—she always made it seem like the men were throwing themselves at her while she played the innocent victim who did absolutely nothing."

"Anyone who gets close to someone like that is just asking to have their life ruined," Silas scoffed. "Looks like she's destined to die alone. I hope God cuts off her romantic luck for good. If someone is rotten to the core, whoever likes them is just begging for disaster."
