What She Overheard in Her Own Marriage novel Chapter 633

Seraphina was genuinely taken aback. She murmured, "Oh, brother. The person you've been pining for this whole time was Kaia? You really kept me in the dark."

Kaia froze, turning to look at Seraphina.

Seraphina laughed, no longer trying to hide the truth.

"My brother came back to the country for a short while a few years ago. After that, he went abroad and threw himself completely into biopharmaceuticals. I asked him back then why he suddenly switched from finance to this field, and he told me it was because someone inspired him. They made him want to dive deep into the industry."

Seraphina let out a snort of laughter, looking affectionately at Silas, who was still slumped on the table. "Kaia, don't get the wrong idea. My brother never breathed a word about who exactly changed his mind. We just assumed he fell for a girl during his brief trip back. We had no idea it was you."

Kaia was stunned, staring at Silas in utter disbelief.

She had worked alongside him for over a year and hadn't picked up on a single hint that he harbored special feelings for her. They were always in meetings together, discussing research and crossing paths at the office daily, but it had never felt like anything beyond a normal dynamic between a boss and a subordinate.

She truly had no idea that Silas had altered the entire course of his life because of her.

"Sis, stop talking." Silas sat up straight. His eyes were still a bit bloodshot, but he had regained control of his emotions. He looked at Kaia and said, "I actually came back for all the major Sanders family banquets. You just never noticed me, so I didn't leave an impression."
