When the GF9 Test Subject Became His Obsession novel Chapter 110

Madam Suzanne was fuming. She glanced at her son.

“I only want Serena!” Zachariah growled.

Madam Suzanne straightened her back with all the grace of a noblewoman. “We’ll continue doing business with the Reed family. All we require is that you hand Serena over to the Simpson family. You don’t need to concern yourselves with anything else.”

The implication was clear—what happened to Serena after that wasn’t their concern. Whether she lived or died, they didn’t care.

Zachariah ground his teeth, his twisted, violent side completely unmasked.

Celeste shivered. For the first time, she was genuinely afraid. Thank God he hadn’t taken an interest in her. If she’d fallen into his hands, she might not have made it out alive.

Sebastian dropped Serena off just outside the Morrow family estate. When she pushed the door open to get out, he still didn’t look at her.

After thinking for a moment, she pulled a lollipop from her backpack and offered it to him. “Here. It’s free.”

Sebastian said nothing.

Seeing no reaction, Serena coaxed, “It’s really sweet.”

That serious little expression of hers made it impossible to refuse.

Sebastian finally moved and took the lollipop from her.

Serena’s eyes brightened, and the dimples on her cheeks deepened slightly. She gave him a little wave and turned to walk away.

Sebastian stood there, holding the lollipop, staring in a daze.

“Mr. Hayes, were you… worried about Ms. Serena?” Noah finally dared to speak when he noticed Sebastian’s expression soften slightly.

He didn’t know what had happened in the hotel, but whatever it was, it had clearly ignited Sebastian’s fury.

Sebastian twirled the lollipop between his fingers. “The Reed family tried to marry her off. She refused. The Simpson family tried to use force. The Reed family just stood there and let it happen.”

Noah was shocked. “What kind of parents would do that?”

Sebastian shook his head. That wasn’t what really bothered him.

Brutes could be dealt with like brutes. There was nothing complicated about that.

But... “When I walked in, everyone was trying to hurt her. She said she could handle it.”

She could handle it? What a bitter joke.

A delicate girl, sold by her own parents, nearly defiled in front of them. And when she fought back, everyone turned on her like she was the villain. Yet she calmly said she could handle it. Her face didn’t even show anger.

Even if he hadn’t come, she would’ve handled it.

She’d been betrayed. Nearly violated. And she didn’t even get angry.

What had she been through in her life to become like this?

Thanos, still playing his game, snorted. Go ahead and spoil her. In her heart, she’s still thinking about the Reed family. One day, you’ll all regret it.
