When the GF9 Test Subject Became His Obsession novel Chapter 150

On paper, Taylor was just the “mentor” of the Advanced Research Team, tasked with overseeing assessments and supervising members—which gave him the authority to judge others.

But in reality, Serena was the one who held everyone’s fate in her hands.

Sean replied almost immediately: “Do you have any evidence?”

Taylor responded: “Not yet.”

“Then don’t jump to conclusions. This is scientific research. It’s about facts.”

There wasn’t much Taylor could say to that. But in his heart, he swore he’d catch Serena slipping. And when he did, he’d make sure she was thrown out of the team for good.

That afternoon, Celeste got a call from Richard.

“Celeste, something’s happened to Zachariah. Come to the hospital.”

She asked Taylor for leave and rushed over, only to find Zachariah completely wrapped in gauze like a mummy.

Angela pulled her aside and explained what happened. Zachariah had been found beside a trash bin. When the police brought him in, his body was completely riddled with acupuncture needles—like a human pincushion—and, even worse, someone had castrated him using sterilization techniques normally used on stray animals.

The doctors had been helpless. He’d still been conscious at first, but after the needles were removed, not only could he not move—he couldn’t speak either.

Now he was stuck in a half-conscious state, somewhere between dreaming and waking.

The Simpson family wanted revenge, but the police couldn’t find a suspect.

Celeste’s heart was in her throat. Why does everyone who crosses Serena end up like this?

First it was the state basketball team. Now it was Zachariah. She glanced at Madam Suzanne.

Suzanne’s face was swollen, her eyes full of malice as she barked at the four bodyguards nearby.

“The Simpson family paid a fortune to hire you for his protection, and you’re telling me you don’t know anything?”

The four bodyguards stood there like quails, silent and still, taking the abuse without a word.

Then Suzanne turned, redirecting her fury toward Celeste.

“His last call was to you. Tell me what happened last night!”

Her voice was loud, her rage terrifying. Celeste flinched.

“He asked me where Serena was staying. I think he went looking for her and… something must’ve happened.”

Suzanne slammed her hands down and stood up.

“Her again?!”

Her eyes locked onto Richard and Angela.

“You either bring Serena to me—alive or dead—or I’ll wipe the Reed family off the map.”

The Simpson family might not be strong enough to destroy the Reeds with one word, but corner a rabid dog, and it’ll bite. And no one wanted to test that theory on Suzanne.

Both Richard and Angela broke into a cold sweat.
