When the GF9 Test Subject Became His Obsession novel Chapter 93

Holy shit. Indigo almost lost it.

But in that moment, he also realized—everything Kelly had said earlier was a lie.

“See? Another lesson from me. How to tell when a woman is lying.”

Indigo was speechless.

“What exactly do you want?” he snapped. “Serenity Blend is their ancestral herbal formula. If they won’t sell it, what are you going to do—take it by force?”

Leon’s smile vanished completely. “Their conditions have worsened.”

“What?” Indigo’s smirk disappeared too.

“The effects of Serenity Blend are fading. They’re starting to have nightmares again.”

Nightmares—for someone who’s been trapped in unconsciousness—were pure torture.

Just today, two of them had experienced irregular heart rates, and both required emergency resuscitation and forced medical intervention.

If they were going to spend the rest of their lives asleep inside nightmares… it might be kinder to euthanize them.

But they couldn’t bring themselves to do it. They weren’t ready to give up.

“We need the Serenity Blend formula to adjust the ingredients.”

That was Leon’s goal. As long as he could get the recipe, there was nothing he wouldn’t do.

“By the way, how’s the person I asked you to keep an eye on?”

The moment Serena’s name came up, Indigo’s expression twisted like he had a stomachache. He genuinely didn’t know how to describe her. If he had to be honest, she was just… weird.

And the thought of writing a thousand words praising her for the school forum made him feel like his hair was falling out. “She’s… whatever.”

Leon asked, “Whatever how?”

“She can fight, she cheats, she riles people up like some cult leader…” And the worst part? She looked sweet and innocent—her face was a complete scam.

“You sure she doesn’t know medicine?”

“Why would she know medicine?” Indigo snapped without thinking. Something about that touched a nerve, and he blew up.

Leon raised an eyebrow. Teenage boys. Completely irrational.

At Morrow Manor, Mica was bouncing with excitement as she shared the news: Kelly had just been accepted into the Horizon Research Institute’s Advanced Research Team.

Madam Dorothy was beaming with pride, like the Morrow family had just won the lottery.

“Kelly always makes us proud!”

Then she turned around and asked, “And what about Thanos? Where did he rank this time?”

Madam Dorothy swallowed a sigh. This was the Morrow family’s legitimate heir, the eldest grandson of the main branch. “If I had to rely on that side of the family, I’d die from anger.”

Mica stiffened. Did you really have to bring up some outsider to overshadow my cousin?

Madam Dorothy’s expression turned menacing. You cheated, and now people are crowdfunding ten grand to bust you? Are you trying to make headlines in hell?

Eight million?

Every weekend, Arbor would bring his wife and kids to Morrow Manor if he was home.

As soon as they walked in this time, Kelly and Mica were there, greeting them with beaming smiles.

Except Mica was shooting Serena the kind of look that could fly straight off her face and into orbit.

Sensitive and fragile Thanos narrowed his eyes slightly. When Kelly leaned over to push Lebron’s wheelchair, he leaned in and whispered, “So you ran away yesterday?”

Kelly’s smile cracked. “What are you talking about?”

“You know what I mean.”

Kelly was speechless.

“You lost. So just admit it. And stop talking trash about Serena behind her back—I can hear you.”

Damn it! Kelly almost coughed up blood on this idiot’s face.

Inside the house, Madam Dorothy was already waiting downstairs.

This kind of warm welcome? The main branch hadn’t seen that in ages—they were nearly overwhelmed by the honor.

Olivia looked at Wendy. Wendy stepped over and gently took her hand, giving her a subtle shake of the head—and a warning look.
