THIRD PERSON POINT OF VIEW
Chapter 294 Destroyer
As Ryker’s dark magic dissipated, Dread took Petal away with him while Silas and Aran found themselves standing in the Blackpine Forest once more, though neither of them was in their right mind. After seeing the Lycan King Dread Lord for the first time had shaken them both to their cores.
“Did I read his aura correctly?” Silas‘ voice was barely above a whisper.
Aran, equally shaken, glanced at him. “He’s a destroyer…”
“And Petal is a savior,” Silas whispered, his words hanging heavily in the air.
The realization settled between them like a weight they couldn’t shake, a destroyer and a savior, bound together in love.
THE LYCAN KINGDOM
With her cheek resting against a soft pillow, Petal blinked as the first light of dawn filtered through the room. A gentle breeze brushed against her bare skin.
‘What time is it?‘ she wondered, still groggy from sleep.
Her body was marked with love bites, her limbs still trembling from the passionate night with Dread, which had stretched on for five days since he brought her to his kingdom on the New Moon. Despite the mark she had given him on his chest that let him fully know that she was not romantically serious when she said she would choose Ryker, Dread had become possessive, driven by an obsession she couldn’t deny. She couldn’t blame him. After all, she had reacted just as fiercely when another woman had been near him. Though she hadn’t expected him to go as far as to have summoned dark magic himself, slipping into her nightmares at the very last moment. She had planned to handle Ryker herself, but Dread wanted to see the King of Dark Magic for himself. And, as expected, he’d broken his promise not to lay a hand on Ryker.
She had known, deep down, that Dread wouldn’t be a passive bystander. His jealousy and rage had made it clear, he wasn’t just there to watch. He was there to kill.
A small smile tugged at her lips as she remembered how much she had enjoyed seeing this side of him, the side that stood beside her, unflinching, no matter what.
However…
Petal pursed her lips, feeling Dread’s cock still buried deep inside her. Her cheeks flushed as she slowly moved her hips forward, recalling the past five days–days filled with little more than eating, bathing, sleeping, and constant passionate sex with him. There wasn’t a corner of the bedroom he hadn’t claimed, every possible position explored. He’d taken her again and again, never tiring, only pausing when she needed it. She couldn’t help but wonder how he would be when his rut hit, given the stamina he exhibited even in his normal state.
But deep down, she knew…
“Fuck…you’re doing this again, baby,” Dread groaned, his voice low and commanding as he thrust deeper, his cock hardening as she began to pull away.
“AHHH…” She moaned, feeling him stretch her further, his movements making her pulse race.
Her eyes closed as she tilted her head back onto his chest, her breathing shallow as he made love to her as though it were their first time all over again.
“You want it so bad that you’re releasing your scent to seduce me this morning, huh?” He groaned, his thrusts growing faster, harder, dragging her deeper into an abyss of pleasure.

“Has my scent gotten that much stronger?” she whispered, turning to kiss him, her lips meeting his in a hungry, desperate kiss.
“You don’t even realize how delicious it’s become,” he murmured, deepening the kiss, his body moving in a rhythm that drove her wild, every inch of her trembling beneath his touch,
For a few days he had been saying that her scent had become stronger. Petal did not realize it but her desire for him had increased too.
Her orgasm hit before she even realized, the waves of pleasure crashing over her as he filled her with his hot release once more. Petal collapsed into his arms, breathless, melting into his warmth, her body completely sated as she drifted back to sleep in his embrace for a few more hours.
When she woke, he gently roused her for breakfast. After a quick shower, Petal joined him at the table.
“I have to go home today,” she said softly, watching his expression closely.
He didn’t flinch, his face unchanged as if her words hadn’t affected him at all.
“Okay,” he replied, nodding as he continued eating.
Petal pursed her lips. Just the other day, he had thrown a fit when she mentioned leaving. Now, his calmness unsettled her. A mix of suspicion and relief stirred in her chest. She was glad to leave without another confrontation, but something about his indifference felt off.
They shared a peaceful breakfast, Dread even feeding her from his plate, despite her having more than enough on her own. Once they were finished, she stood to dress in her freshly laundered white gown, preparing to leave.
But as she moved to gather her things, Dread had disappeared.
“Dread?” she called out, her voice filled with confusion as she looked around the empty room.
Whenever she would be planning to leave he would be standing with that look on his face as if someone were tearing his soul away, reluctant to let her go, always making her promise not to be late, not to leave him for too long.
“Dread,” she called, pausing on the staircase when something caught her eye.
It was the rabbit, the rabbit, the one she had returned to him. Dread had raised it since. The rabbit hopped up the stairs, glancing over its shoulder, its eyes meeting hers as if checking to see if she was following.
“Is it asking me to follow it?” Petal wondered aloud, her curiosity piqued. She found herself trailing behind the rabbit as it led her up the winding steps to a floor of the castle she’d never been to before.
The rabbit hopped ahead, slipping through a crack in a large wooden door. Petal hesitated for a moment before slowly pushing the door open, her breath catching as she stepped inside.
Before her stood a glowing moonstone, resting on a stone seat. The gem radiated a silver–white light that bathed the room in its otherworldly glow.

Petal’s gaze was locked on the gem, her voice barely a whisper. “I love it, Dread. I’ve never seen such a beautiful gem in my life.”
“It’s moonstone,” Dread murmured as he wrapped his arms around her waist, pulling her closer.
She hesitated for a moment, her fingers reaching out to touch the gem, but she pulled them back. “How did you get it?” she asked, intrigued.
