When Two Winters Met (Henrietta and Yosef) novel Chapter 124

Quinton lowered his gaze. “I understand. Shane, please follow me.”

The antiques and paintings needed to be inventoried and secured in the vault.

“Sure,” Shane nodded. “One moment, please.” He then turned to Henrietta, bowed low, and respectfully presented the black card with both hands. “Madam, please accept this.”

Henrietta slowly reached out and took the card. “Thank you.”

The sleek metal felt hot in her palm. The only one of its kind in the world. What did that even mean?

Quinton glanced at her, knowing she must be as overwhelmed as he was. And probably incredibly moved, too. Had she… fallen in love with Yosef?

“And this,” Shane said, presenting a file with both hands. “These are the property deeds. We will need your signature to accept them.”

“Of course.” Henrietta took the file and the pen Shane offered. As she signed, the tip of the pen trembled slightly.

After she finished, Shane took the documents back and reviewed them with a smile. “Perfect. The ownership of these properties will be transferred to your name shortly.”

Henrietta pressed her lips together and nodded.

Shane then turned back to Quinton. “Mr. Sargent, if you would.”

Quinton snapped out of his trance. “Right this way.”

Hector and Sabrina continued their lively conversation with the Nash parents, as they too had to sign documents to officially accept the assets gifted to the Sargent family.

Henrietta, who had always considered herself composed, was feeling anything but. She slipped the card into her purse, took out her phone, and sent a message to Yosef.

[Mr. Nash, the wedding gifts are too much. I… I feel I don’t deserve them.]

She reread the message a few times before finally hitting send.

Yosef didn’t reply immediately; he was likely busy.

Henrietta put her phone away just as Luke, the butler from Elysium Manor, arrived. After greeting Ryland, Zelina, Hector, and Sabrina, he turned to Henrietta and bowed respectfully. “Madam, Mr. Nash sent me to pick you up. All the clothes, shoes, and daily necessities you might need have been prepared at Elysium Manor today. If there is anything else you’d like to pack, I can have someone assist you.”

“Oh, I don’t have much. I can get it myself,” Henrietta replied.

“Very well,” Luke nodded.

Zelina smiled. “So, Yosef is having you move to Elysium Manor?”

For some reason, Henrietta felt a faint blush warm her cheeks as she nodded. “Yes.”

And that was all. Henrietta knew the topic was closed. It was the kind of conversation that was best left brief. Anything more would be unnecessary; they both understood each other.

She texted back. [Okay, I understand.]

Yosef didn’t reply again. He must be busy.

When they entered the VIP private dining room at the hotel, Yosef’s brother and sister were already there. They stood up to greet the family as they arrived.

Both of them were strikingly attractive.

The younger brother, Jethro Nash, was the same age as Henrietta. He spoke with a gentle, refined warmth, a perfect gentleman. He had the air of a noble, cultured prince, a stark contrast to Yosef’s cool, commanding presence. The two brothers shared a resemblance in their features, but Jethro didn’t wear glasses, giving him a handsome, approachable look rather than a sharp, ascetic one.

The younger sister, Leticia Nash, was a senior in college. She was lively, playful, and incredibly cute.

Both of them looked at Henrietta with a great deal of curiosity, greeting her politely. “Nice to meet you.”

Henrietta smiled and nodded. “Nice to meet you.”

Soon, both families were seated, and the dinner began with lively conversation.

Just as they were finishing the main course, Henrietta’s phone rang. She glanced down and saw it was a video call from Yosef.
